There's no use reading stuff in developer's post they're not saying. It's wishful thinking. I base my conclusion OOPP is not coming before Q4 on the lack of confetti the developers are throwing out. If OOPP was coming next week, they would have shouted this across all boards. They'd create as much hype as possible. They're not going to 'extract salt' or 'play their customers'. That's bad business.

And believe it or not, I am looking forward to OOPP. Not when it goes live, but I'm looking forward to when it has been live for over a year. Because success or failure, it's a win-win for me.

It could go F2P. But I doubt it. Since they said there will be paid content several times down the line.

Games have been known to offer some parts of the game for free though. So its still somewhat of a possibility.

If anything they bundle the original game with horizons. Sell them as 1 unit. Because the next Xpac is coming and people will need all those resources available if they plan on expanding on what we have now?

I doubt it - Arena was only briefly free then removed as a stand-alone product.

I don't think that offering the base game for free would be of benefit to the game as a whole.

Given that the Mac version of the game ends in the not too distant future, it might be inferred from that that the base game and Horizons will be merged at that point for future sales.

And not the mode people are removing themselves from to make an impact on others. Claiming its PVE. When the intentions are to affect another group of players.
