Collecting samples

So I'm doing the tissue sampling in my dbx.. first tissue works fine.. but either I'm just not pro enough, or they agro way faster when you already have a tissue sample in your hold. Is it even possible to get the tissue samples from USS' when you have one in your hold already? I have the 16T corrosive hold, a 20% heat DBX and use silent running when the limpet is nearing the thargoid.

It looks like after the scan (when I have tissue sample in my hold) the interceptor turns around , thinks for a while and turns back to attack me.

Am I doing something wrong here?

This weeks targets Kamadhenu (scouts) and CW Ursae Majoris (interecptors + scouts) 40Ly from Sol. Wrecked Megaships in both, and Aegis ship.

Rutg3r0, after you get the first sample, you have to make sure that any future Interceptors are unable to scan you. If their scan completes, they will agro and silent running alone won't save you.

My process is generally to drop in, target the Thargoid, and then wait for it to approach. Just before it begins its scan, I'll fire off my research limpet, engage silent running, and boost past. After that its just a waiting game. I generally try to hover around at just under 2 km away. Over 5 km and you risk limpet destruction.

Edit: Be alert though. From time to time if the interceptor is still scanning cargo when the limpet returns, it will follow in an attempt to scan it. This of course leads it straight back to you. If this starts to happen, I recommend a speedy retreat.

this is my research and stealth ship. even with shields up the interceptors never notice me except the first scan. it runs normally at 16% and even in Silent 1 heatsink will mask it completely. (as long as you don't get to close) also I don't know if its been fixed but I had a crazy time trying to retrieve a Medusa sample the limpet would die when it got back. would say I got it but nothing . I had to be actually targeting the limpet when it was returning to the ship, The Cyclops and Basilisk I had no problems.
