General Gameplay Nature Decorations

I was stunned by this picture I came across on Reddit.

Not a decoration fan myself but I want this so badly. Make it happens Frontier! Please… [yesnod][yesnod][yesnod][yesnod][yesnod]

I also like OP’s ideas of fallen trees, cliffs, and waterfalls. In addition, mud, finer scopes and variations of trees (another picture below), tall grass would be good.

Holy HELL! This just highlights how MUCH we need this stuff, especially the stuff inside that enclosure oh my god!!

Those boulders and that dead tree look fantastic! God I hope Frontier sees these pics

An option for single tree placement would be cool too many times i have those ugly empty spaces between buildings and the big circle for the trees dont work there or sometimes i want to put single trees along a river and i constantly have to delete the trees until there is the one tree i want its a real pain

This has been on my wishlist since day one. I’ll have these ugly gaps by buildings and it irritates me to no end that I can’t place a few trees due to the current terrain tools.
More options on picking different trees, ground, grass, rocks etc would be most welcome as well.

I feel you. The current terrain tools either let you put a clump of trees or none and even when you want said clump you might not be able to put it where you want because itd be too close to something. Another thing I noticed in one of those pics is that they suggest to give both bigger and smaller areas for the terrain tool. This would also be a HUGE help.

This kind of environment is what I'd be hoping to have the ability to create, just to give the current options for enclosures to have more variety. An arid plains with 'dry' and sparse looking shrubs....

I love those pictures. We definitely need some more environmental tools. Every enclosure as of now tends to look cookie cutter. It’s starting to get boring. No matter how you shape the environment, everything still loooks the same. You have a forest, swamp and plain. Yeah you can add hills and rivers but it just seems like it’s not enough.

I was just about to put my own post on this topic then I saw this one, Rocks, fallen tree, waterfalls, cliffs, all fantasic idea's the only thing I was going to add was Gravel and sand.

On Islands such as muerta, where you can see the beach and ocean, well it would be good on Nublar or on the other islands if you could create a river with the water tool (current)
but at either side of it, been able to have a stone or sand bank to accompany it with give it that authenticity

Your Feature Request / Idea
Natural styled decorations that would enrich dino exhibits, or other areas.

As i am not sure how to suggest this, because there are an umber of ways to do this and different features may require different tools, I'll put this in general gameplay.

Firstly, you can give us one more Landscaping tool section, which would be Rocks. This can have 3 tools, one being small rocks, the second being boulders, and the third one, painting outright cliffs. Alternatively this could be one tool that works sortof like the tree placement, with more and larger rocks appearing the more intensely you paint an area. I do prefer the different tool idea personally tho, as it may be more easy to use and allow more control and creativity.

In addition to this you could have a special section within the Enclosures tab, where you cloud place special things such as maybe waterfalls on cliffs? Thats a bit of a tough one, but fallen trees and other unique things, maybe even down to ruined buildings (ala the old Jurassic Park Infrastructure, fences, centers etc, tho that may be a bit much.)

Great idea, this would be awesome *-*

ok now that the contents of the update and the dlc are out I think the next move must be focus on this, :

- different type of terrain texture ( sand, dirty , rock ecc..)
- different type of trees
- nature decorations ( Rock, single tree, death trees ecc..)
- and park decorations

I belive that this is what the game need now.

In my honest opinion I believe we need a more top to bottom improvement in environment creation, in every aspect. I believe we need in addition/conjunction to your ideas:
-More Ground Brushes (Swamp/Marsh, Sand, Rocky, Mountain, Plane, Mud, etc.)
-More Tree Variety (Varied Tropical Rain forest trees, Varied Swamp/Marsh Trees, Varied Desert Trees, Varied Non-Tropical Rain forest trees, etc.)
-More Shrub Variety (Varied Tropical shrubs (Ferns, etc.), Varied Desert Shrubs, Varied Swamp Shrubs, etc.)
-Possibly deeper water levels (although this idea isn't as major as the three things listed above.

I would relish the idea to create all sorts of different and varied environments for the dinosaurs and I wish to have a good discussion with you and others so that we can offer the best ideas for this main idea to the Devs.

Now that the DLC has been announced, I would like to reiterate what I said earlier. The things I stated above in this quote are what we need next, I believe and I look forward for them. In addition to my list I would also suggest different size brushes as well, brushes that are both smaller than the ones we currently have and ones bigger than the ones we have. If there is also a good reason to add different shapes of brushes that could be added too. But again I stress the things I already stated in my original post, which is quoted above, are the main things we need next and need in vast amounts, in addition the smaller and larger brush sizes. Sokar I agree with you as you once agreed with me.

Frontier I thank you so much for the new dlc and I look forward for the continued evolution of this game.

C'mon people let's bring hot this topic ! let frontier know that we want more diversity in our enclosures. Another good think for me is to separate forest from undergrowth, now when you put big forest areas automatically put bushes on the undergrowth, i like the idea to separate the two things. What do you guys think?

Hi guys I love this post. Because it just dawned on me, though I never played planet coaster, the attractions in that game were the rides. So customization was focused on the rides and the decorations in the park.
In JWE since the attractions are the dinosaurs we should have the ability to create unique and beautiful paddocks for them. The AI is being improved, so that's a step in the right direction. Yes decorations for the park (outside the paddock) are also welcomes but i think terrain / environment tools should be prioritized. Now it's time for the enclosure / environment tools to be improved. Here's hoping on the next update! :)

Dear Frontier,

As I have stated multiple times a big improvement that needs to come next is the whole idea of environment creation, or whatever term would describe being able to create many different environments for the dinosaurs. The main ideas that I believe are involved in the whole thread of nature decorations are the following which I have stated before:

-More Ground Brushes (Swamp/Marsh, Sand, Rocky, Mountain, Plane, Mud, etc.)
-More Tree Variety (Varied Tropical Rain forest trees, Varied Swamp/Marsh Trees, Varied Desert Trees, Varied Non-Tropical Rain forest trees, etc.)
-More Shrub Variety (Varied Tropical shrubs (Ferns, etc.), Varied Desert Shrubs, Varied Swamp Shrubs, etc.)
-Possibly deeper water levels (although this idea isn't as major as the three things listed above.

These I believed and continue to do so are essential for the environment creation aspect of our dinosaur enclosures as you have to go into detail when it comes to creating an ecosystem for the dinosaurs to live in. Moreover, I believe we need these ideas in vast amounts, and by that I mean for example many different types of trees such as for more clear example 10 different types of tropical rain forest trees, 10 different types of non-tropical rain forest trees, 10 different types of swamp trees, etc from many different biomes. By having vast amounts of the ideas I listed, in addition to other ideas pertaining to environment creation the community and developers could think of, it would allow us to have almost limitless possibilities in creating beautiful and interesting exhibits for the dinosaurs allowing us to create infinite different parks. I strongly believe the the community wants this next or really soon, but want I don't want is for us to only get a few extra tools for creating exhibits. We need numerous amounts because this game's focus is the dinosaurs, so why shouldn't we have numerous different options to create limitless possibilities in varied environments. Again I believe my ideas are necessary, in vast amounts as many as we can be provided, in addition to other ideas pertaining to environment creation from both the community and the developers.

Sincerely,
IndominusSun

Some thoughts I have been having on decor, or at least new ones that I dont think have been said by anyone.

enclosure decor:

teremite mounds (varying sizes and shapes could be a reddish color)
geothermal vents (cracks that have steam coming out)
tar pits (could be purely decorative with bones in it, maybe dinos could get stuck and lifted out?)

Yes I think this is what we need now. And for me is fine if this will be part of a pay DLC, but I also think that at least two type of Ground Brushes, Tree, Shrub and deep water will be better part of a free update ( any other addition will be fine for a pay DLC)
