how dare a game give you the freedom to do as you like to command a fleet to forge your EMPIRE!! lol i guess some people like restricted game play.

As I said, please stop, you are embarrassing yourself. It is for your own good.

I am all happy for a game to do that, hence that is what the X-games are for. Personally I have no wish to play that kind of game. I find it boring and restrictive, because the whole game is based around bulding your empire, you remove that part and there is very little left. Something I really do not want to see in ED.

Hey, do you have a course we could all sign up for? I've never been a games dev, I worked in commercial software, but my skills have clearly slipped since 1995 when I got my first programming job.

i rather work at Hello Games, at least they are a dedicated team of people.

And Sure you can go to any Uni of your choice and get a degree. but with your High skill and years of experience Frontier should definitely hire you, who know maybe you will become the new lead developer. maybe you will make Elite an amazing game or or Maybe you will grind it to a pulp and make it unplayable.

lol you have a very interesting definition of restrictive. hey man its ok if you dont like it, you dont have to get all emotional about it.

I thought that was a special effect especially for PS4 owners. They got elephant leather interior with all their ships. Surely getting rid of that for a plain plastic look is a downgrade. ;)

Hopefully it will be fixed with the new lighting system.
