Got a new game called Call of Duty Black Ops. Its a pretty neat game.
The sweetest thing about it though is its still being worked on.
While it has some lag issues and teleport issues. Its still early on in the development and they will have to work on this stuff. But, you are matched with people from all over. Just like Elite.
One thing about Braben is he himself is a trailblazer.
While this game is not specifically an FSP "Yet". It flies like one. We are mounted to our heads. I hope it stays that way.
Other gaming developers have came along a little faster, had bigger established funds and experience to work with. Fdev is still growing, and they are doing pretty dang good.
But other games have been using this tech of grouping everyone together from all over the world. Doing their best to synch us up as best as possible.
Still its always better than not seeing them at all.
I dont think its fair to pick on networking and server problems because like many other games we have all been a part of. You may not realize it. But they have changed too.
Companies upgrade all the time. Its normal.
I wish people would stop living in the now. Look at what the game could be, from what other games are doing already.
Its not as a big of leap as it used to be.
