I don't see it this way at all. No involvement is never the answer when you have customers unhappy about a purchase, no matter the merits, particularly where you as the supplier have by your actions or inaction, contributed to their unhappiness.
Succinctly, would this thread have been created and still be chugging if FDev gave us an update on what's planned?
For a material example, look at how GOG dealt with NMS and the lack of multiplayer on its platform. They earned a lot of credit by hitting the issue quickly and head on.
First, just like everyone else I'd like to know more about the future of the game and what that means for the LEP.
But it gets kind of silly when I hear about customers being unhappy about their purchase, after 4 years of playing what seems to be their favourite game of all times, otherwise they wouldn't stick around for such a long time. It seems like FDEV delivered an awesome game.
It's also silly to complain about a lack of information when we bought something with a lack of information. If people don't like to pay for something they don't know much about they shouldn't buy something they don't know much about.
I think it's also silly to compare the current price of the base game and Horizons to the cost of the LEP, first because we don't know how many expansions are yet to come and second because everyone who doesn't know that software and games in particular get cheaper over time.
