griefers...dont you just love em....

got tp ask a question though... if they are camped out across the sun or station...how do you fly that avoids interdiction? without going ages and ages around?

I've seen the rebuy screen enough times to think they are better than me lol
But how good are you?
I bet every time you try, win or lose, you get better.
Problem is that your aggressors do this many times a day. The ONLY way to "git gud" as they put it, is to become one of them. Any other style of play will never get the same practice. It's a shame, but it's how it is.
In the end, if you're in open and you're passive... then you're prey.

It's a hard lesson, but if you dislike being someone else's content, then open mode is not for you.

Using the system map and plotting directly to the station allow on to enter hyper considerably faster then waiting to get to a system, open the nav menu, scroll down to the station and select it. Thus anyone waiting, won't have sufficent time to interdict you at or near or anywhere along the path to the station's vector.

If and when one knows they about to get interdicted, slowing down and dropping out of super cruise to normal, will reset the instance and in the process eliminate any and all other ships. I generally wait until the I get to within 20 seconds of my destination, slow to zero, drop to normal and then simply retarget my destination, reenter super and finish my trip unimpeded by anyone. On rare occasions the interdictor will also follow one into the stations instance, but who cares, one is close to the station, and they will respond if and when you drag you feet entering the station.

Wrong. Many of the times I failed, it was within such a short time that the only thing I learned is that these situations are completely hopeless. How can I git gud if I'm looking at a rebuy before I can even blink, no matter how much I try to improve?

I'm used to being wrong, but it's been years since I was successfully interdicted. Read into that as you wish.

Fly casual... But not too casual.
Tbh most of them aren't nearly as good as they think they are.

That's pretty much it. Four end game, heavily engineered ships chain interdicting a Type or a newbie, just so they can post up videos of them mocking the victim as they call in their wing. Such skill, such bravery, so much salt and lulz...

If you do decide to run in a trade CG in open, the Type 10, heavily engineered, is a decent choice. You might be able to high wake before the clowns get their buddies into the instance. Tbh though, the whole experience is beyond tedious. A tiny minority of players spoil what could be a hugely enjoyable part of the game.

I'm not sure in game penalties are the answer, though. There are griefers and seal clubbers in every on line game. If FD actually took some kind of punitive, real life, public action against groups of self identified, unashamed griefers it might help, but almost any in game response to salt mining generates new opportunities for the neds.

Take the salt miners at their word- PGs and solo for the win! [haha]

Personally I think the random murder hobos add a little much needed spice to the game.
No single NPC is of any real concern for me. Or wing for that matter....
My main thought during an NPC interdiction is "can I be bothered to deploy hardpoints or not...?". Lol

Having a technically superior player and/or ship chase me down, adds a much needed thrill to the game.
Admittedly, I nearly always escape, because I simply don't have the ship or PvP knowledge to fight back in any manner other than suicidal, but it's still a bit of fun.
The last time PvE was as exciting, was during the Robigo long range smuggling days. :D

Of course, victory back then was earning tens or hundreds of millions in credits.
Victory in PvP is simply not dying a horrible death. :p

That said, having some ATR jump in, in an appropriate time, and force, would help tip the balance, so I'd be more likely to fight back, than just jump out.

Sadly, "submit and high wake" is such a habit these days, I'd probably be half way across the bubble before realising I didn't need run anymore... Lol

We need engineered NPC ships back. Or at the very least, have higher ranked NPCs, starting from Master/Dangerous up to Elite to actually be what their ranks suggest. As of now, even Elite NPC's seem much easier to kill than "Harmless" NPCs, which is bullocks imo

git gud isn't an option when a t10 costs up to 27,000,000 to rebuy, my corvette, 21,000,000. how many wads like that you going to lose?
go solo...that's back to vanilla.

That's a single wing mission to source gold or palladium, which is easily doable (and fairly findable) in a T10 or Corvette.

So, plenty of wads like that?

seems to me, that without them, once you get up to the higher rankings of the game, the game is vanilla.

the griefers will say "git gud. fight back" "go solo"

what I would like to see is a much more aggressive police response. that way, I know I only have to hold the attacker off for a certain amount of time before the fur really starts to fly.
I've tried that tactic as the response is now, didn't work.

no, I think the answer for me, is RUN.

What is wrong with running when in a transport ship?
It should be risky.
