griefers...dont you just love em....

Once again with the Mobius numbers. Start quoting active players otherwise it’s just posturing.

Heck, even I was in a Mobius group for a while (Mobius America, I think?) and never saw anyone online. Granted, I checked a few times here and there but you figure you’d see at least ONE, right?

I got the shields to 3250 with the use of shield boosters.. armour is up too with hull reinforcement, top level of armour the reflective, a single attacker wont get my shields down before i'm out of there unless I do something wrong.
wont be too long before i'll have a go at turning the tables...

I have a suspicion that those folks quit playing much sooner on average, than open players.

Quick correction; People who interdict you and murder you for no reason what so ever are not Griefers.

Continue.

P.S 27mil is what, a couple of volleys of missions in a T-9? No big loss.

Mobius is full. Mobius PVE is full. Mobius America still has room I think. What is the cap on a PG 40,000? Seems pretty bad that 80,000+ players vote for a PVE environment, and FDEV says - nah a PVE server is still a bad idea.

These groups are full because they don't cull inactive accounts: the admin tools simply aren't meant to manage such monstrosities with tens of thousands of players.
There are 80k+ 'members' of Mobius (oh whom you don't know how many also play in other modes and at what frequency, even I used to be a member of Mobius, notionally at least), but there are between 1 and 2 million players on Steam alone on PC. Are you expecting Frontier to go out of their way for less than 10% of their playerbase when they have already provided them with all the tools needed to play the game as intended and in a safe PVE environment?

Long as you don't eat a reverb cascade torpedo your plan is good. As someone who Pirates/ganks I can tell you that's what will happen and avoiding the torp in a T10 is not easy. Next will come the FSD disruptors. If all goes well, the salty tears begin to flow. We prefer Vettes but a T10 will do in a pinch :D

Mobius don't remove inactive members because the admin tools for doing so don't exist. So instead they create new groups and move active people into the new groups. The present three groups have only existed for just over a year. Thus, all the players in them have been active in that time.

You have a deviant personality. That's why people respond negatively to you in game and IRL. Enjoying someone else's anguish (foolish as it may be) says something about you. lol

Blame FDev for leaving two dying PVP backbones in the game. An arena mode with matchmaker patched off where deathmatch is the only option. An open sandbox with no matchmaker where engineering made spineless nerds able to play godmode against traders.

Next time I hear someone say emergent I'll slap the guy on the nose.

seems to me, that without them, once you get up to the higher rankings of the game, the game is vanilla.

the griefers will say "git gud. fight back" "go solo"

git gud isn't an option when a t10 costs up to 27,000,000 to rebuy, my corvette, 21,000,000. how many wads like that you going to lose?
go solo...that's back to vanilla.

what I would like to see is a much more aggressive police response. that way, I know I only have to hold the attacker off for a certain amount of time before the fur really starts to fly.
I've tried that tactic as the response is now, didn't work.

no, I think the answer for me, is RUN.

Posts like this make me want to go full "griefer".

I mean seriously, this game has open and unrestricted pvp. And it's by design. If FDev agreed with this whine, it would remove rebuy costs or turn off player-on-player damage. I for one am glad they have not. What we do need is not more vindictive punishment as the OP suggests, but actual game play designed around pvp.

Best of luck trying to run in a T10 my dude.

If you want to trade in open, you want to carry enough to pay for the inevitable rebuy. The Type 10 has the best combination of cargo and armour available, it makes a great base for defensive engineering mods. Anacondas kitted out for trade just melt against a wing attack, Corvettes are rank locked with pathetic range and carrying ability, Cutters are rank locked and crazy expensive (rebuy is almost inevitable if you keep on bumping in to wings of griefers in heavily engineered end game ships). You can't be mass locked in a Type 10, you can carry a decent shield, the hull can take a pasting when the shield collapses, so high waking is usually doable.

heres the real issue at hand here. your ship is probly not built as well as theres. you have made it weak inorder to maximize cargo distance. and that rebuy isn't much compared to there rebuy but if you must run submit the indication. turn at the people boost and HIGH way! That way they can't mass lock you.

Not as well built for combat, fella. The game wasn't built as a shooter- that's something a bunch of salt miners who want to play Eve in cockpits want, not the game we were given. Pure combat builds are really only useful for killing other players, they're no use at trading, mining, exploring or even piracy and bounty hunting. Turning to face a wing of heavily engineered warships in anything other than another heavily engineered warship is almost guaranteed to get you killed.

I've got a 'Vette with 'Darn Big Shields', I can take my time, maybe even try to fight back, fail, run away at my leisure. I'm never going to win (I just ain't gud) but so far its never been blown up.
What puzzles me is the same Commanders keep trying to blow me up over and over ( and over) again when its perfectly obvious that a) I'm not really interested in a pvp fight and b) I'm always going to get away.
Oh well I suppose it takes all sorts.

It does. The sad thing is the neds doing it think they're harvesting salty tears of anguish and grief, they don't realise just how tedious and boring their behaviour really is.

Schoolyard "gimme your lunch money" antics don't change with time, it just changes venues.

Sometimes... people eventually grow up and learn the reasons why it's not socially acceptable.

Others end up being carpet-bombed or their little sliver of the Earth turned to glass. Doesn't "teach them a lesson" but it indeed makes a good example for other would-be schoolyard bullies.

I wonder, sometimes, about what motivates bullies. Their whole life experience dedicated to making other people miserable- what can a sane adult actually gain from that? Maybe some kind soul will explain?...

...nope, no explanation, just an unfathomable pride in acting in a pitiful, infantile manner. Bizarre.

True story. I once knew a fellow who drank too much, too often. I don't think he was an alcoholic, but he wasn't far off it. He used to love pooing himself. The reaction of everyone around him as the stench reached their nostrils had him in hysterics. Oh, the lulz! The really strange thing was he still felt it was funny after he sobered up. He'd actually boast about it for days afterward, trying to get a rise out of anyone daft enough to listen to him.

Like most of his colleagues I put up with him for a while, but like them I got tired telling him his behaviour was unacceptable and ended up refusing to associate with him.

FD have given us PGs and Solo. Sadly, I find myself struggling to see the attraction of wasting my time hanging out with neds proudly sitting in piles of their own excrement. Solo and PG have never looked so good.

Is a ned the same thing as a chav?

So in other words you are a little salty. Play in whatever mode you want just stop whining.

Submit/low-wake/drop works fine, unless you get attacked by a Cutter or another T-10, in which case submit/high-wake works well enough. Destroying a semi-decently equipped T-10 which doesn't want to engage is basically impossible.

^^This! I’ve had countless commanders try to best my T10. Just give up already.
