Surviving spacelegs

At your current progress, you will reach your safe destination in [2 mins].

Your current oxygen bottle has [1 mins] supply.

Press [unbound] to switch to emergency oxygen.

Log off, log back on and you appear in your ship?

:D :D :D

(couldn't resist)
Or you activate the emergency evacuation procedures of your remlok suit, which will put you into stasis and make the suit burn through their thrusters to move your body to a save position (back to your ship or nearest starport). Effectively a self-destruct and respawn mechanic. Also gets activated should you take life threatening injuries.

If/when spacelegs shows up would you like to see it bring mild survival elements to Elite? In my opinion we do have some slight survival elements already in the ships i.e. fuel necessities and module degradation which goes at least a small length to add suspense and danger to traveling into deep space. Would you like to see things like the need for food (which I think did play some part in the original Elite, could be mistaken though) or the danger of space expanded upon in a spacelegs expansion?

I hope we will get cool spacesuit 'management'. For example oxygen and heat should be something to keep an eye on.

I don't know about food. That might be a bit too much.

Ironman mode incoming....if you do not walk to your escape pod in time limit then the character save is wiped.....

Yes, have us craft elixir of life from mats for permanent increase of 1 HP. Have it uncapped so players surprisingly pump themselves up to HP beyond any reason. In a year they'll take on megaships just by themselves. that is true Ascendancy to Transcendence.

Food? It's bad enough remembering to feed myself when playing let alone my CMDR as well.

Oxygen though, I'd go for that. We already have this for when the canopy breaks.

They are never going to implement it, but anyways..

I'd love new stats for food and hydration needs. It would have to be realistic though(as in not having to eat every 5 minutes. I HATE those games)
One meal per in game day would be fine. And you shouldn't starve to death if you haven't eaten in 3 days, but take some kind of penalty.
One week without food and you should be in trouble.

This could add some great immersion for those long exploration expeditions. Where you would have to use cargo space to stock up on food and drink before setting out.
(1 ton of food, and 2 tons of beverages should be enough for a whole year in the black :p )
