Note: Having been around here long enough I know to preface things with a disclaimer.
In this case I don’t care if everyone has 10 billion credits and 38 ships there are 3 modes and it doesn’t effect my gameplay at all. Do what you want - it’s your game.
Now that is out of the way it’s “Tinfoil Hat Time.”
I do a lot of ED related reading at multiple websites and I have come to the conclusion that I, and a handful of explorers way out there, are the only ones not out mining Void Opals and making tens and hundreds of millions in credits. In one case over a billion. Someone quoted (IIRC) a FDev employee saying they have no plans to “fix” this. Assuming you consider it broken but, as I stated, I don’t care what money people have and I actually like ED.
So. Assuming this money making bonanza was (maybe?) intentional what did FDev have in mind here. A way to attract new players to a game that some think can be grindy?
Any other hot notions or theories?
