It’s totally doomed or whatever.
I'm glad doom has such a long activation time (2014 and counting!); it should let me get a few more years of gaming out of Elite.
When you say 'doomed', do you mean FDev are going to 'Doom' the game? Like introducing a universe (or bubble) wide apocalyptic event and then unleash the demons from the original Doom? That would ok by me, but of course would also necessarily include atmospheric landings and space legs, so ya, sign me up! DoomED!

I think it means that like the Doom franchise, the Elite franchise is going to go on for ever.

Fired up this game fer the first time in months...erm...didnt get past the log in screen. Ill be better able to answer this question when I do get past the log in screen. Tonight however, its back to RDR2 which isnt broken and is perfectly playable.
Considering I originally gave up on ED because of bugs, I gotta say...current situation isnt what I would describe as particularly inspiring or encouraging considering its the xmas break and theres not a snowballs chance in hell its gonna be sorted anytime soon. And the issue isnt on my end cos everything else is running quite smoothly thankyou very much.
Well done FD, ye only managed to make Q4 a fail when some genius decided the timing was perfect, what could possibly go wrong...duh...Ill be back in a couple weeks to see what the craic is then, might even get past the log in screen by then and actually see what they did fer meself.
Ye lot shouldnt have talked me into trying to play again so soon...now things are worse which is ironic considering it was supposed to be the finale of a year of quality of life improvements. I honestly wish I could say Im surprised...sadly Im not ^

Im actually not disapointed at all...resigned is a better word to describe it. I blame meself fer being fool enough to believe them in the first place...wont be making that mistake again ^
Consider yourself lucky - I let myself get hooked on some of the new content (which I have found highly engaging and even "addicting"), but the bugs have all but negated the fun factor of these new
