I have been playing Elite since the original, I enjoyed that version and think ED is a brilliant game, you have to put some hard work in to get the best out of it, maybe that is the problem for some people, they want everything straight away without having to work for it.

Exactly, but not strongly worded enough. Its not enough to not like it you must be equally as unhappy as them and actively dislike the thing. Anything else triggers them.

I was going to argue with you, but as I reread this, I realize I actually agree with you, especially in context of the OP.
However, there is another "category" of player that I and many others fall in - people who absolutely enjoy Elite Dangerous and think it is brilliant, but we hate the bugs that ruin the game we've come to love. It is because of the hard work we've invested into the game to get the best out of it (and some real cash invested in cosmetics) that we do express our dissatisfaction with the current state of the game. Unfortunately who gets what bug seems to be a bit of Russian Roulette, so a lucky person who doesn't suffer from bug X, Y, or Z may lack empathy for those who do.
And I confess that sometimes "expressing dissatisfaction" comes across as moaning, because there is true, strong, emotional disappointment involved. Such strong emotion can only come from loving the thing now lost / broken.
I let people express their views, there is no way I could stop them.

I referred to the "I wasted half a year" part and I am pretty sure verminstar is aware that it was nonsense. There is literally no way someone could waste half a year waiting for an update. How exactly does that work?

I still believe that you didn't waste half a year waiting for an update and I don't think people should say "I am leaving the game and will never return", even though they keep posting on the forums and usually return to the game. I do agree that 3.3 has way too many bugs for some and it's a shame that not everyone can play it yet. This stuff shouldn't happen.

To be fair, it works the other way too. "Stop disliking something I enjoy"... In an ideal world people would start with constructive criticism and get respectful feedback in return. Sadly we are not living in an ideal world.

Well I don't care what anyone thinks of it but I'm enjoying 3.3 a lot.
Don't know how long it will last but right now ED is very nice imho.
Is it perfect? not by a long shot but right now it's the best space game available to me and on my new 4k tv it looks quite impressive.

Cant be any worse than the past year...sure as hell hope not anyway...and I mean in real life before someone jumps down my throat again. Hate the way I now feel the need to explain every little nuance in case some snowflake sees something not intended.
Aye happy new year anyway...to all even those I care little about cos Im not actually a miserable guy by nature regardless what anyone wants to think. I do intend on playing again but Ill wait a few more weeks and give them time to rectify any alleged mistakes with the timing. Im a bit salty true but I had hoped that Q4 would be the catalyst to get me back into the game and I got lots of playtime available that I cant use to play the game I wanna play.
If yer happy playing the game, Im happy for ye really I am...I wouldnt wish problems on anyone despite the claims from some that people like me cant abide happy players...that is without a doubt the biggest load of tripe currently on page one and its just making things worse and more toxic completely uncalled for.
Its times like this where it becomes very clear where the real toxic players come from...more than one here should take a long hard look at themselves as more a part of the problem than the solution.
However, Im done...fer now and shall leave ye in peace to let FD get on with what needs getting on with. Let the trolls troll if it makes them happy, they waited ages fer opportunities like this after all ^
