Have you found planets inside rings before?

I know it's been a While since I was out exploring but, has anyone encountered this before?

Inside that huge ring sits 3 planets!

Are you sure those are planets? They glow in very distinct colours...

but since I have yet to even find a star with a ring, no this is new to me.

Are they actually inside the rings or just aimed that way via that angle of the screen shot?

I didn't think that the gravity would balance out very well with three planets spinning around each other with a set of rings around the hole set to boot.

Here look There is one moon between the 2nd and 3rd rings. You cant see it tho

I had visited a planet with a ring running right through it I believe. Not sure anymore. Or maybe I looked it up at the places to visit? It's been a while. I seem to remember to park under a ring planet side.

It's fairly common to have A-ring, B-ring, some moons, C-ring on the gas giants which have a C-ring at all.

It's much rarer for the C-ring to be dense enough to be visible, though.

I know of the "Sapphire Veil" at Scheau Phoe NB-M c24-7 where a moon orbits right inside a gas giant's ice rings:

Yea, it's been a known artifact of the lighting changes in 3.3. If there are two stars as light sources it will only take the light/shading from one (there's some debate as to which one and why, but usually the main star of the system).

People have posted screenshots of sitting on a completely pitch black surface with a giant star blazing in the sky above them.

I see. It used to be the closest star, but perhaps this is some kind of bug in 3.3 then.

Moons inside rings, a few out there that are known. One that I visited was a moon with a surface port next to the rings (Very trippy view)

Never seen actual planets inside the rings.

I don't think the huge "rings" around brown dwarves are actual rings, they're most likely protoplanetary discs.

Maybe, but still a ring, they are scannable and have hotspots like any other. - I've marked it, nonetheless and will come back for a closer look, I'm on my way to a target deep in the black and can't stop due to getting back for distant worlds 2

Found this system not to far from colonia has a rocky landable body on the inside of the ring I landed on it and it was pitch black no sunlight even though the sun is right in front of you as shown in last picture
