Are you sure those are planets? They glow in very distinct colours...
but since I have yet to even find a star with a ring, no this is new to me.
Here you go, in fact it's two planets not three, both are landable.

Yea, it's been a known artifact of the lighting changes in 3.3. If there are two stars as light sources it will only take the light/shading from one (there's some debate as to which one and why, but usually the main star of the system).
It's fairly common to have A-ring, B-ring, some moons, C-ring on the gas giants which have a C-ring at all.
It's much rarer for the C-ring to be dense enough to be visible, though.
I don't think the huge "rings" around brown dwarves are actual rings, they're most likely protoplanetary discs.
