If I wanted a 'radio-tuning' game I would have rather bought an old radio.

Nice to see there's still no justification for not putting the ADS back in the game, keep it up people :D

Good to see so many signed up for DW2 too, hopefully FDev will be laying on something special for them to find along the way.

You like the stats dont you? You should take into account that people answer posts addressed to them. I expect it would paint some other picture of things if all the facts where reflected.

Beagle point? Less than 1000 burkes prediction.

Admiral, Sir, embrace Stage 5.

Let them have their trip. They are the ones stuck on the long boat trip to Beagle Point, not us.

Give up. They are not going to, and neither is Frontier. We lost. Long before Beta, we lost.

Embrace Stage 5. It's very liberating.

That's another thing, I would've liked an option to hide these things in the codex so I can be at least a little surprised when I find them myself.

I've found stuff that's not in the codex, just depends on where you go (obviously ;)). That a thing exists at all isn't a surprise because there's only so many assets in the game, most of them are so common it's become mundane & even those that aren't have very little in the way of interaction. I've taken to looking for Guardian stuff for now.

Yeah but i wish i was exploring :( Vast majority of them likely have no idea what they signed up for, if they even exist.

Needlessly mean. There are players half way across the galaxy demanding to be teleported back you know that right? And if they move those people its pretty much admitting that the FSS is a game killing pile. Its spoiling peoples fun, why you need to be happy about that?

Fdev is treating people badly.

So many things I want so badly to say about this, none of which I can.

Just going with: Couldn't disagree more, even if cash were involved.

I guess they know what they have signed up for. A guided tour to the nice vistas of the galaxy with planed community events and two CGs to build a spaceport close to SagA*

Approximately 1500 FSS screens in one direction with a 45+ ly ship - some 5 systems a day. Sounds doable and relaxed - if the player likes the FSS.

Well im having difficulty with the sandbox not being big enough for everybody i really am.

The sandbox hasn't really changed, the openworld environment (the Milky Way) is fundamentally still a beautiful thing to be appreciated in as many ways as possible. That this update is motivating so many new players to go travelling is great news and I'm taking advantage of the benefits of the new process while I wait for the next update.

You could try mining, I understand it can be a peaceful activity (not really my thing but I've tried it).

If i wanted cash i would rather do passengers. At least its moving about and honestly i dont care about credits. My point was that if even one player is so unhappy that they are making tickets to move them back then there should be enough room for everybody. Again, its wrong on the part of fdev to do this to people who are heavily invested and have possibly put months of planning in.

Well yes I agree that if there is a solution that annoys some people and an alternative that doesn't it makes sense that the one that doesn't annoy anyone is taken. I'm confident it's just an oversight.

I did several passenger missions as a justification to put my name on things around the bubble and I've gone on several short-ish trips to tick those codex boxes (as you say, not much point in actually opening the sections, but I use the overview as a reminder of that specific type of fumerole I haven't ticked off yet)

Essentially I've been continually testing how the process works for me and thinking about what my personal priorities are. And really I just want the ADS back to go with all this new stuff. That it didn't actually need to be removed makes this all the more frustrating because like many I've put off going out for a bit of a 'splore, waiting for the 3.3 update.

The new process is okay, it's just missing that first step of deciding whether to tag that system or leaving it for another player to grab. If I'm in an interesting system I now have new tools to achieve my goals, and while they could be better I can still achieve my goals with them so I may as well use them while I wait for them to be improved.

Maybe you could go looking for Guardian or Thargoid sites. Most of the systems have already been tagged but the planet POIs revealed are only the ones already eyeballed by other players so there is still stuff to find that mapping alone won't reveal.

I can't take it any more.

Not everyone gets accommodated. That's just life. You either like the change (I happen to like the change, and would not be out on the edge of the galaxy, working my way around if not for it), or you don't. But the change is made. There is a very wise adage that comes to mind: "Don't cry over spilled milk."

I don't want to make this a socio-political thing, but it's taken a very sharp 90 that way.

There were months of Focused Feedback, long before the beta. If you didn't speak then, you also chose these changes by remaining silent.

Stop making reasonable suggestions :) I want to be over the other side of the galaxy. I was going to make my way to colonia, hang out in the core for while, pass sagA and on to beagle and then i was going to turn right and move round the edge and inwards a little. I dont care about thargoids.... Somebody said end game and they thought they said enders game and signed up! See? I saved that joke sinse the very first screenshots of the big base :D

Thank you for your response. I hope I understood correctly that what annoys you is the way the FSS needs to be operated in the game?

Yes, exactly, I can not operate it the way it is meant to be operated for the reasons I mentioned in my other post. So please don't get me wrong, if I could use FSS I would, despite the fact that I find the design fugly, but I literally can't.

Not everybody knew.

Yet everybody had the exact same opportunity to find out. Log in and look.

If you care, you look. What was it that particular captain said?

"What do you mean you've never been to Alpha Centauri? Oh, for heaven's sake, mankind, it's only four light years away, you know. I'm sorry, but if you can't be bothered to take an interest in local affairs, that's your own lookout. Energize the demolition beam. I don't know, apathetic bloody planet, I've no sympathy at all."
