Greetings commanders!
I’m relatively new to posting here but have been playing Elite for quite some time. Over the past 6 months I have really dived head first into exploration and become a hunter of stars....essentially all types, looking to add each star class, as well as sub types, to my ever growing database of first discoveries. About three months ago I began reading about the elusive C-Class Carbon stars; those stars reportedly in systems which were “authored” and placed in a finite capacity around the bubble. These being in contrast to the variant carbon stars which were seen scattered throughout the galaxy; mainly CJ, CN, MS and S Class Carbon stars. I am aware of a list of about 160 of C-Class Carbon stars that are known and have been listed. From reading in this forum I also learned that there were likely very few, if any, of these stars left for discovery.
As I wanted to be a completionist I set off to attempt to discover my own C-Class Carbon star as to me they look to be some of the most fascinated celestial bodies in the Galaxy. After about 3 months of searching around the bubble in various HD and HIP systems (where most of these stars have been found) I finally happened upon one I could not find in any database or list of known stars. This was HD 60826 in the Sanguineous Rim. Assuming it would be tagged but ever hopeful I flew my Anaconda out there and finally reached it via jumponium, albeit only basic charge. I was quite pleased to find it was yet to be tagged and was able to add it to my collection!

This was just a few days ago on 1/12/19.
My questions and thoughts are as follows:
1. I am looking to visit all the known C-Class Carbon stars, if anyone has tagged one which is not in a known data base would they be willing to share the system so I can add it to places to visit?
2. Has anyone else tagged a C-Class Carbon star this year yet?
3. Is there any idea how many, if any, are left to tag? I am aware that there are several in locked systems as well as several which are currently unable to be reached with our current technology.
4. Does any one have any thoughts or ideas if these types of stars will eventually be scattered around other parts of the galaxy for discovery as they represent amazing discoveries and sights to behold.
5. Any other thoughts and/or observations on these amazing stars are welcome.
6. There are only three systems to this point that I myself have found with C-Class Carbon stars that are tagged but not found in any database I saw. These being HD 128033, HD 56167 and 166097.
Sorry for the lengthy post, or if some of this is repeated or redundant. I am new to post here and don’t even know if my picture will be available to be seen or if I can even respond yet to any replies.
Thanks to all in advance.
