You would be flying your ship. There is no desire to remove the new stuff, only to retain the old stuff just like every other update.

How so?

aka "Here we go again".
What was it, back on page 7 you first posted that? Then we argued for some 80 pages or so, shifted directions a bit for another 60 pages, and here we are, about to do it all over again.
Easier to just post a link IndigoWyrd. There is no more debate to be had, the ADS simply didn't need to be removed & should be put back.
Nice to know you are enjoying exploring the galaxy, however there was no need for the update to be at anyones expense. You may have read this before.

Outdated placeholders get replaced, its more fun to adapt to games than spend time demanding a redesign.
Whether the ADS needed to be removed is really up to FD.
Whether it will be put back is also up to FD.
Anything else is opinion, although I would prefer it if FD explained the reason they did not want them to co-exist. Not that they have any obligation to explain but it might help with people that want it back to get some closure.
I don’t want to see the ADS return but I wouldn’t mind if FD improves on it. At a minimum I’d like to see the tuning and panning snap around signals and objects. Also it would be good if they could find a way to present some of the information from the initial honk in the nav panel, system map and orrery without giving away too much information.

That the time taken to remove them was wasted & generated no new sales is an issue. There is no issue with giving away too much information.
I'm hard pressed to think of a single update, especially a major update, that hasn't come "at someone's expense".
I can't say for sure about updates prior to Horizons: The Engineers, because I wasn't interested in Elite prior to that, since it did not feature planetary landings, but by this point, I've been around here long enough to know that if you give anyone anything, someone will complain about it. There are still plenty of people around today calling for the outright removal of engineers entirely, as it has "ruined" their experience. There are still routine complaints about the C&P system, simply because folks miss "standing in the corner" to wait out their bounties.
There have been a few complaints from the miner's camp because of all the new tools their old ships simply lack the capacity to fit.
There were complaints when the Thargoids were introduced. There are still complaints about AX weapons.
There were complaints about Guardian equipment - still are.
In short, I often suspect the collective passtime around here is Complaining.
You keep on making that statement like it is set in concrete, some fact that only you know, and that you know more about the inner mechanics of the game than the Devs who actually built it. I know you find it incomprehensible but maybe just maybe FD made the ADS obsolete on purpose because it is part of their long term strategy. In other words, they made a decision based on their current and future plans for the game.
Calling this one out - please show us some revenue statistics to support this unfounded assertion. A single sale invalidates this argument.
And others have no counterargument. There was no need to remove them, it was an oversight that needs to be corrected. Simple.
Can you give another example where this was the case?
The ADS was apparently disliked because the ADS was OP for having infinite range. This has been discussed before. What range does the FSS have?
The old modules did not need to be removed, the time taken to do this was wasted during an already rushed update. That you did not like it is irrelevant to that although it is fair comment. I liked it & find it's needless removal to be frustrating.
