I fear more such forced "tutorials" that are more annoying than helpfull than any missed knowledge.
Telling everything about how the game works via missions would be tedious and i am someone who does not like that. I wouldn't continue to play a game where the tutorials didn't end after 3 days of playing :| also, many things stay in memory only when i had to take consequences. Much better learning effect through that.
I deliberately said "strongly encouraged", not forced. I doubt you are a cmdr who needed such things. Most I encounter do.
At least for PS4 digital download I did not see a manual; if it exists it is shunted to a corner.
Folks call me names (not you, and this thread is relatively calm); all I am doing is teaching effect via consequences
I am on PS4. I always play in Open. I am a lone explorer about 2,000 Lyrs away from the bubble in the direction of Sag A. I am flying an unarmed Krait Phantom with everything stripped down for range. I have a nice 3D shield, low power enhanced. And it's so lonely out here, I dream of nice PvP men coming to teach me lessons about how to survive in this harsh universe. If they can make Shakespearean speeches while they're doing it, even better.
I am at least 10k light years further away than that, so you will have to do many jumpy jumpies in order for me to attempt to murder while comms'ing sonnets.
A phantom has escaped me - like all combat pilots I know that to die in a 1v1 requires mistakes. I am in a big slow ship due to need for self sufficiency, so speed may save you.
However, do not let my SLF or fsd reset dumbfires hit you before that high wake, lest your final comms be, 'et tu, Feros?'. The 3D shield suggests to me the encounter would not go well for you.
It is sparsity of the galaxy that is your best defense. I advocate in other threads for tools to find commanders (that would work for both goodies and baddies) to solve this. But it would need some tricky-to-get-right anti-gank balancing.
As it stands, without me using some garbage tactic like friends list tracking, it is effectively impossible for me to kill you, unless I take the time to find all stations & popular POI >1900 ly from sol towards sag A, and camp the right one waiting for you to stop there.
elite rank wing assassination [...] a list of the possible builds available to npcs
Seems to be getting off topic. I doubt I could kill an explorer rapidly enough if they were at that level of PvE combat and didn't utterly nerf their ship for jump range. There is some crossover in skill. I doubt the folks I am encountering could take on an elite NPC FdL either.
