Thargoid invasion is *really* slow going.

So what's your word for Aliens burning random stations of humans? A barbecue?
In this GalNet article that's well over a year old an eyewitness of random Station burning claims “It’s like they wanted to cripple us rather than destroy us outright.”
Also Thargoids, according to the Codex, might be under the impression that regular humans are just our equivalent of their drones and therefor entirely expendable and not worth crying over.

Now, of course, the "restraint" they use could be so they could gather up all the humans and make smoothies out of them - like what happened in Mass Effect, but eh.

IMHO I don't think anyone takes the Thargoids serious anymore. As for me I thought when they were introduced that the challenge flying through space would be more critical. Allas I've come across them only 2 times since they were introduced. It will be much more interesting if they were everywhere not just having to go to a spot like you do when going to conflict zones.

Thargoid invasion was cancelled due to not enough pamphlets being printed out. In all seriousness though this story is progressing a little too slowly. In my player group we spent weeks defending system after system and its gotten quite boring honestly. This story as it is currently is too stagnant which is a shame because we loved reading galnet and just having that "Oh sh*t" moments. Now we only get hoaxes of misjumps and somebody stealing watercolor paintings. Where is the full scale invasion FDev? Can we get some thargoids flying around in SC at least? Just to make the threat actually seem like a threat? Sure we have six systems to defend but its getting too repetitive. Im fully aware of creating gameplay loops but come on this just doesnt feel like humanity is in any danger for CMDrs to care about defending systems anymore due to the story just stalling..........

Thargoids don't enter supercruise. Their FTL is entirely different - we have a sort of warp drive which bends space to propel us great distances, whereas Thargoids travel anywhere using a variation of wormhole tech. As a result, they don't need to target stellar bodies in order to jump - so they can jump directly to planets, interesting phenomena, etc.

It is so slow going - I posed the question today," Why haven't stations acquired AX and Guardian weapons?" which netted exactly one response.

I don't think the Thargoid narrative is that relevant at the moment. I also posed the question about supercruise interdictions probably more than a year ago.

The most annoying thing about the Thargoids right now is they clog up the FSS when I'm mat hunting.

Lol, you’re asking why haven’t stations acquired AX and Guardian weapons. Even NPC’s fighting inAX CZ’s don’t use Guardian weapons :D and they never aim for the hearts, sometimes they kill one heart by luck. They are not able to even exert a Basilisk’s heart.

Pilots Federation can’t even afford a few guardian weapons for their AX dedicated fighters.

The Thargoids internally cannot agree the framework for the Thargxit divorce agreement with Humans. Some are calling for the Merope Backstop to be entirely removed, sadly this is enshrined in Thargoid law so would take lengthy legislation to remove. Others have said that the Thargoid public should be given a second vote - but again more chaos and division reigns over the what would be on that ballot. As the uncertainty rolls on one thing is certain, we have no idea what is going to happen next.

Slow going btw: :D

Point is, we cannot repair the stations fast enough and the Thargoids are advancing through bubble. Distance between CE Bootis and Sol is 34 LY. They're 34 LY away :D

Nice! Have some rep

Just wait for a new cg and magic, all damaged stations will be repaired in no time... I never had a problem with attacked stations, there in useless systems anyway, at least for my cmdr.

Has there ever been a situation like what's about to happen - pretty much all systems in an Incursions state not fully cleared?
And with one of those systems pretty much at "full incursion strength".

They have been around Sol for ages now, I think it was a year ago when we wondered if their next jump will be leading to earth...
We've been waiting, waiting and waiting for the story to unfold. Sure, we can still wait, and I know I do, but any real hope is cold now ^^

And most people simply stopped repairing stations, little to no point doing it, boring and repetitive, you repair a station but you damage your soul forever ;)
