EDSM and First Discoveries

I'm on PS4, so please forgive my ignorance (and feel free to move this to whatever subforum it belongs in).

I've discovered and mapped all sorts of exciting things since I started playing, many systems surprisingly close to the Bubble, but these are not in EDSM due to the lack of integration with the console until recently. My question is simple - if somebody on PC enters a system that I have discovered and mapped, does my CMDR name show up in your logs? And if the answer is yes, will that get my CMDRs listed in EDSM, assuming you are using whatever tool syncs your PC to this database, even though I myself don't even have an account with them? I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. I'd hate for all those moments to be lost in time

Also, does / will EDSM track "Mapped By" as well?

From all i know, if you have a first discovery on PS4, your name should also be on the map for the PC. But i haven't tested that yet. You could add the name of one system where you have your first discovery, then somebody can on PC can check if your name also is there.

On EDSM, no idea here, sorry. I guess somebody who uses it can help.

I'm on console too (the other one) so only just got the fully fat EDSM experience in the last few days, and I'm out with DW2 so not hitting a lot of previously scanned systems at the moment but from what I can see it just reports who was the first EDSM user to scan/map. But I stand to be corrected on that.

First (EDSM) mapper is also shown but tucked away in the detailed view of each planetary body [System Summary > Celestial Bodies > detailed view (of each body)]

Ohhhhh. So some shmuck could stumble across all my gems, and (s)he would get credit for First Discovery in EDSM? Well that's just rubbish. At least the in-game tags will always be mine

Its worse.
I was the schmuck down in EDSM for discovering van Maanen's Star (I wasnt), but since 3.3, some other schmuck has been given it.
