And now we can add these forums, which were actually pretty good, before. Now they've devolved from half-baked to ...completely raw?
And what's the deal with rep and post counts? For others, I see their accumulated rep (transferred from the old forums, and their total post count ...but when looking at your own avatar, it only shows numbers since the new forums went live? Or is that a bug with just my account?
Or you could go to a nav beacon and get them all in one go.
Well, there's a blinding flash of the obvious that's so bright I just sprained an ocular muscle with the eye roll.
Aside from the hassle of dropping into nav beacons (which can be lived with), here's the reciprocal blinding flash of (what should have been) obvious, for you: There are many instances where you're in a system nowhere near the entry star and want to do that USS scan. Flying all the way back to the entry star in many cases is no time saver; it's just a different way to waste time.
All the half-baked FSS needed in its design is just a hair more ability for resolve USS's, a LITTLE more resolution between frequencies. As it is, you CAN (sort of) weed out SOME USS's. If you put your scan line at the higher end of the USS range, you at least leave out the total garbage USS's like convoys and the ceremonial garbage, while still resolving the DSS, ESS, and HGE (and other worthless ones)...but you at least eliminate a tiny percentage of the ubiquitous content chaff.
