Real World Theme Parks What real world park/ride are you hoping to recreate in Planet Coaster first?

The first ride i would re-create is probably "HELIX" at Liseberg, Sweden. I think that would be a little challenging, since its pretty long and have no lifthill. It interacts with the terrain really well too!https://i.ytimg.com/vi/5YmfeSSfzk0/maxresdefault.jpghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTtGj8FDiQ8

I would love to see the result of Helix! I love it. Liseberg is my "home park". (Live in same city)
Yes I would like to se a recreation of Helix as well. It's a really cool coaster. [happy]
I live closer to Stockholm than Goteborg in Sweden, so it is a longer trip for me to go to Liseberg. We used to have a summer house on the west coast and visit Liseberg every year. Cannot do that any longer. [cry]

For me, I tried to make my own version of Liseberg in RCT3 called "Kattedal" with cats as mascots instead of green rabbits. [rolleyes]
For Planet Coaster I would love to recreate a Disneyland park, as I also did in in RCT3.

First going to try the baron 1898 (if possible with the music and all the effects and the preride)
images

after that probably the whole efteling with as much of the rides as this game is going to permit me.

But before i can begin with that we need a laundry list of animations and ofcourse indept music on rides (timed on where the ride is) and so on.

Once again its a shame we dont have custom music in Planet Coaster. They are aware this is a much requested feauture so i hope it will be there in the final game as it's really needed to have any good park re-creations.

Besides that i really wonder, once the game "supports" UGC how much efteling stuff we will see pop up for the game.

Something tells me: A lot.

but the most important thing after the custom music is that you can say which sections get what music (like in ques) and that you can trigger some part of the music when a action of the ride is done. (at the baron the drums when the cart leaves.

I wanted to recreate most of Valley Fair coasters like these:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valleyfair#Roller_coasters

and some of the cool ones and dangerous like this one:

But the roller coaster in the video above would require Planet Coaster physics rewrite for this ride to work.

That video is so fake! They start out on a steel coaster then at 0:06 they are miraculously on a wooden coaster and at 0:09 the coaster is once again a steel coaster. It just some tricky video editing.

Already did a first recreation of "Flug der Dämonen" in Heide Park Soltau... far away from finished though:

True but most of time dangerous coasters are not real but real enough to test in RCT or PC due to how dangerous they are.

Ah, the miracles of video editing. (For those of you playing at home it's an extremely simple matter in most video editing programs to make something static--that section of track for instance--invisible, ESPECIALLY when it's on a consistent background, which is how green screens work, or in this case blue screens[tongue]). To be clear, according to the laws of centrifugal motion, the moment the coaster left the track it would fly in a parablic arc, starting in a straight line from where the track ends until gravity overcame its initial momentum and pulled it back down to earth. Moreover, the train would remain oriented upside down, so the "track" it landed on would squish the people in the car as soon as it reached it. And finally, the precision required to line a train up with the track is incredible--we use upstop wheels and side friction wheels so that the track is a precise guide of the coaster's movement and it can't do things like... leave the track... it's so precise, in fact, that the tiniest bit of wind or imbalance in passenger loading would cause the wheels to become unaligned with the landing track, resulting in a lethally brutal collision. So, jumping: great for bicycles and skateboards, not so great for roller coasters. Using a (extremely durable) bobsleigh-coaster-like landing track, it might be possible to have parabolic jumps (though it would be dangerous and severely limit operating conditions) ; but a "looping jump" as is supposedly shown here is utterly impossible with modern technology. We'd need a large series of magnets the size of a small home combined with enough power to light up a minor city in order to safely guide a coaster along an invisible track like that.

Also, more on topic: hoping to recreate Holiday World, which I'll be visiting for the first time in a couple of weeks at Coaster Con XXXIX! Really excited to reconvene with my hordes of fellow ACErs who I haven't seen in two years. [big grin]

Carowinds and Dollywood are the closest parks for me. Carowinds has all the best rollercoasters, and Dollywood has the perfect balance of nice theming and fun rides. I ca't wait!

Definitely Carowinds for sure, but with Thunder Road still included (RIP sweet prince)

Also wanna try Six Flags over Georgia, even though I'm not as familiar with it. I really wanna try and recreate the Monster Mansion dark ride, even though it'll definitely be a challenge.

One thing I'd like to try my hand at is to try to create a ride/land from Disney's Animal Kingdom that was never made: Beastly Kingdom.

I actually think it'd be pretty interesting to try.

I'm going to go simple and recreate Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay, WI. (Google it.) The only thing that I need is the scrambler, tilt a whirl, train, merry go round (Single story) scat, mini Ferris wheel, wooden coaster... yeah, a lot more. Okay, mabye later xD
