Real World Theme Parks What real world park/ride are you hoping to recreate in Planet Coaster first?

I'd like to be able to recreate Phantasialand throughout all its history. Of course I don't expect PC to have some of the unique rides, but the more common ones, that would be amazing.

Basically I just want to be able to make whatever kind of park, from usual European theme parks with classic and modern rides, to heavily themed major parks, small downtown parks with a long history...

As I'm from the Cincinnati area, I would love to look at mimicking my first rollercoaster I ever rode, the Son of Beast, as well as the Beast and Diamondback. Also the Racers.

I just watched a POV of the Diamondback roller coaster at Kings Island, would you classify this as basically an Out and Back type coaster whereas the Son of Beast would be a twister type?

Diamondback is for the most part an out and back, yes. Son of Beast was a whole different ball game like the Beast, especially when Son of Beast had the loop.

Another cool coaster to reproduce would be the Rebel Yell, a true dueling coaster at Kings Dominion:

I can't wait to recreate a heavily themed water ride like splash mountain in Disney, Florida. i absolutely love this ride, (hence my forum name) [happy]

the Original is The Racer at Kings island that the Rebel Yell was inspired by, as well as the Thunder road at Carawinds. The latter being torn down to expand their water park.

Interesting bit of coaster knowledge there about the Racer, of course I had never been there.

I just hope frontier gives us plenty of old school unthemed amusement park rides so we can recreate parks of yesteryear.

me too!

That would be great as there is one park of my childhood I would like to try to recreate that is now defunct:

The old parks that are no longer with us are the ones I'm most interested in remaking in game. Or a current park but back in time, I.E Kings Island 1980.

I like to make custom scenarios where I remake the old park then am tasked of updating the park.

Another park from the past that I went to once was Circus World in Orlando. My marching band marched there in 1987. I would enjoy remaking it.

That does indeed look like an interesting park too, however I am not sure if you would be able too have the needed animals unless these are planned for the final release or a future expansion similar to RCT3's Wild.

Another Park I would like to do is located in Rye, NY (It is still in operation, but has changed a lot from my childhood):

When I went to Circus world you didn't see animals out. They were in building so I could still have the look. It's the big top looking building they had that would probably give me the most trouble.

Man talking about this really makes me hope for old style carnival-style flat rides. No theming at all, because when I was a kid the only parks that had any themeing was Disney and Bush Gardens.

I will build "Heidepark" in germany because it's my favorite park design. I don't like too much Scenery (like for example Europapark) so I like parks more with just rides pretty much :D . Not to say Heidepark doesn't have any scenery but it's not THAT much and the rides are in the focus of the park. Also aiming for Six Flags Magic Mountain but that one will be HARD to do just because it's so damn big.

Map of Heidepark in germany:

I think yes but they are all very low quality usually. There are some onride videos too I think. Also I just realized this map is outdated there are new coasters that are not on this one for some reason ( map is from the Heidepark website)

Going to update the map in the post.

Oh you can't ... well in that case here is the actual map not the outdated one:

There is something missing, too :D They built a new area which will be opened in about a week. It will be about "How to train your Dragon" and it looks really promising to me :D

This is the most recent map ^^ The part where the light shines on will be the new area with 4 new rides :3

I'm really looking forward to see how your rebuild will look like :3

I don't know where you are from, but if you are not able to go there to make pictures or something, I could help you because I am there quite often (it's not very far away and I own an annual ticket) and make some pictures for you :3 Just let me know (PM or something) if you would be interested in that :D

"Oziris" coaster, from "Parc Asterix". - Loved Asterix as a kid. This would definitely be fun to create and look great in a park. [cool]

Alton Towers and Disneyland Paris are my go-to recreations in theme park sim games. I'd love to give the Disneyland Paris Movie Studios a go as well:

Doing a MOVIE themed park, is a great idea! Would be great to have all kinds of MOVIE props! [alien][rolleyes]

I've never been to Mirabilandia before but it will be nice to visit one day. However, I've been to Gardaland many times and I would love to recreate it. The park is friggen huge though. It has 6 steel coasters, 3 water rides, 2 dark rides, 2 thrill rides, 2 transport rides and a ton of show rooms / 4d cinemas and casual rides for children etc.

Edit: this is a reply post to Applez

I explored Gardaland via Wiki and does look fun! A bunch of stuff would be cool in to put in my park! [woah]
