Beta competition and info

Finsihed mine as well.

I have to say, I found the second star much more challenging than the third star. After I finally managed to build the coaster according to the specs, I already had the required amount of guests. The new coaster gave me the required monthly profit within one month and after that it was just waiting untill I had enough money to repay the last loan.

I already won myself a sweet goodie bag! So I wont enter again...

Good luck everyone! :D Hope you're all enjoying the game!

Will be doing a speedrun of the monolith at 6pm GMT on my Twitch channel.

Aiming to complete the challenge within 30 minutes.

I had no issues with the coaster - I just build them the way I would like them to be in real life and I easily get all green scores with some tweaking afterwads. :) I used a little trick to make the ride incredibly excitement efficient by having it not pulled up by chains at all - instead it STARTS with a drop down. And inbetween there are some boosters to allow the cart to build enough momentum to get back up to the station in the end. I hope this trick can help someone! [tongue]
I think anyone who visits reallife themeparks a lot and knows the basic principles about G-forces won't run into many issues. The coaster simulation and scores feel really close to reality and rewards logical thinking! [yesnod]

Gratz on beating it in 26 mins ^^

Hey i watched this in your previous streams and i saw the challenge mode part. I also have ran into the same kind of problem, the start of challenge mode is slow but once your have the the ball rolling, its simply sandbox mode. Still enjoyable but would be nice to add some more "challenge" to it. Needs a little more work done to it. Kinda scary when launch is in a few days.

Well said.

So, was a winner every announced? It's almost 9:30pm for me and I believe it's later yet for Frontier. I doubt I won but I'm just curious if anyone has been chosen? :p BTW, Here is my park for the challenge (took me 15 years in game cause I suck!)

Sorry for posting my channel haha, But the monolith videos are related :)

They never mentioned who won in the stream (watched the whole thing). But as stated in the startpost, the winner would be contacted by email. So I don't know if they will announce the winner.

Anyone know if this was ever announced yet. I just thought there would be an offical dev post saying cheers all for entering, we had a great time and the winner was 'X' that's all. This is at the moment like RCTW comps where people didn't get their T-Shirts :(

Yep this is all rather strange, surely you should always announce a winner at the end of a competition? Makes it look like something dodgy is going on otherwise.
