Okay, so more than one person is now thinking I predicted a ride only dlc, which was not my intention at all. [shocked] [happy]
I can understand why you think that because my post looks more like a summary instead of the schematic it was supposed to be. [blah]

I put down my train of thoughts.
The ride dlc option just being the first thing I thought when I read "new special pack coming" in the announcement. Just meaning to say they would handle their dlc's differently then before which the word special could imply.
Then something else happened : the new shop names were revealed, and so I came to a different conclusion. Now you know how to read it [happy]
My conclusion being it might be a huge pack this time - including everything we're used getting in them (rides, scenery, entertainers and mascots maybe, and shops as we now know) . Reasons for it :
- either because with the release of the Thememaker's Toolkit Frontier will not be adding any or just few scenery in the dlc's after that so they want to give us one last massive one themselves. (there would still be dlc's coming though)​
- or because it will be the first expansion pack​


Again, to be clear Robert, I'm just sharing some thoughts :) as mentioned in the end, it's not like I'm sure about it at all.


Pffff, I just feel like a nag now :-s

We'll soon know, I'm hoping next week.
In the end it may turn out to be a ride dlc after all lol, that would actually make me a bit sad, I would luckily be comforted by the thememaker's toolkit coming.

I don't have word, so copied it in notepad, so at one point the text isn't completely on screen, so you have to use the scroll bar in the bottom of the screen to scroll a bit to the right. Juuuust saying, you know, a bit scared about messing this up again [big grin]

By the way, about the layouting of text : best you can do with the 'indent' option is make the line start a little bit further from the margin, but a schematic (like in my attachment) can not be done it seems.

Neverending story.

So I was in the library and opened the attachment to double check, and sure enough: very much to my dismay, because it opened in another program, again it did not look completely as intended.
it looked better than my first post, but still not like my original schematic.
Sigh

The library though has a specific program I think.
So could some kind soul inform me, what it opens with for you? (if you just open it without selecting from "open with" option) I'm curious now and might as well learn something out of this, so : do programs generally open with the program it is made in if you have it on you computer, or does it always open with the program you have told your computer to open every file of that type with, if that's a thing.
I used notepad.

Maybe also someone could tell me if it looks like an actual clear and clean schematic in notepad, because at this point I'm not sure about anything anymore, except it looking ok on my own computer.

However new shops have been requested and then there's that unusual greeting from Bo in the update announcement (that cosmic cow pointed out)

Announce what though, a release date? What if the DLC/free update isn't finished yet hypothetically speaking? (last week's reveal illustrated there were things they were still working on)

Im pretty confident that we will be getting a Mack powered minetrain with this update. Given that multiple passes will now be included with the update, it seems like a no brainer to include this as part of the next dlc.

I also dreamed last night that a skyride was included so I take that as a sign. [woah]

i think caterpillar has a point over here. whit the new themamaker toolkit. they don't have to create special scenery for use for a time, because we can make alot of cool things also and steam will get a meassive list of scenery extra in it.
so we can use beter several new rides or option to it. more
till now we only have scenery dlc and mayby this wil be the first ride dlc,
but wo knows we need to wait till we get official information on it.

only thing i like to see whit the coasters. is easier and beter station. we have 1 type of station but there are alot of more diffrent ways for it. x-coaster has from the beginning the wrong station.
next to that the support needs to be a special option. so we can select the track and create easier are own support for a track. because placing support piece by piece takes to long and it can be done easier

It's a possibillity that part of the players seem to see happening and want.
I don't think this pack will be handled like that though (not anymore ) , nor do I personally want it to be like that. A world theme pack with only rides? Nah. Hope not.
(assuming it is a world theme...)

We'll know any day now [happy]
