Easy fixes, big improvements - scalable geometric shapes, and bigger walls

As a builder, it would be VERY helpful to be able to scale the geometric shapes, (the spheres, flat squares, cubes, etc...) Since these don't have any textures applied to them, I would like to think this would be on the easy side to implement, and it would add so much creativity to the game. They would need to be scalable on all 3 axis though (lengh, depth, height).

To add to this, and this would be harder to do for sure, it would be even greater if these shapes could have basic 3d functions to them, by that, I mean you could merge some of them to create a new shape, or, mostly, substract one shape out of the other.

Secondly, another thing that would be great would be to able to set wall pieces to multiples of itself, so, say you would have to add a huge wall of 64x (4x4) tiles wide by 48 (4x4) tiles high, you would instead just have a popup and just set the wall by picking the 4x4 tile, then set it at 64x48 and it would be ONE wall. This would cut down ALOT of blueprint pieces.

Hope this makes sense :) Thanks.

It makes perfect sense, especially your suggestion about the walls.

Easy to make objects scalable? Best thing we can hope for is more sizes, and a lot of people really want texture options, but scenery like this can probably be a lot better if we had a UGC/CSO editor. Just imagine all the plants, rocks, walls, and shapes people could create then!

You're right, but, for now, I really mean just those art shapes, not everything like vases and everything else, because I know that would be alot more work. But just the art shapes seems very feasable to me. :)

I wish most of the building objects were scalable. What if you could scale a wall to size? What about roofs etc. If I could sale a object then the creativity is somewhat limitless. At this moment since they are not scalable I feel like I am bound to using only what works with what they are giving to use then using it in other ways if I could scale it. Scaling a object makes the use of it limitless.

I think scalability is one of those standard 3D functions that should be included on every non-gridded object in the Advanced Move widget, with x/y/z/all fields in the settings/overview box for entering percentages if you wanna do it that way (or want to consistently scale a bunch of stuff). Can this be misused, such as scaling so high the textures look horrible or the faces are obvious? Yep. That's not a good reason to keep this from us. [sulk]

Gridded (most building) objects have different issues and would probably be harder to implement.

Finally put some time into playing PC, but can't for the life of me believe that I can't scale scenery objects. I must be crazy, cause I could have sworn that they were doing this in the beta videos...

Was hoping to build some scaled UFO's using the Mars Attacks design, but unfortunately the 3D Geometric shapes;

a) They aren't big enough
b) They aren't small enough
c) They can't be scaled
d) There aren't enough shapes

Such a shame that I can't model such simple yet symbolic alien craft...

Edit:

After messing about with Sandbox for an hour (first time), this is the best I could come up with;

Note that these ships are of such simple design, I'm really disappointed I can't fudge up something slightly cooler looking...

EDIT 2:
Gonna go have a look at Steam workshop to see how others have solved this problem. :)

It'd actually be nice if a lot of the things were scaleable - at the very least, the signs need a scale option in addition to the Art Shapes. Many times I find a sign to use, but it's just WAY too big for the area I want it in, and being able to scale it down would be super awesome. Even the editable ones that are labeled as being "small" aren't really that much smaller than their "large" counterparts.
