So you mean that the guest AI becomes random?
I'm not sure how you got this from Gysan's post. I'm quite sure the devs' reason for not creating shuttle stations is more to do with trains reversing (or turning around) and the difficulties of multiple trains on tracks. These issues don't exist for elevators.
They can easily do a solution were we never see the elevator box going up or down.
I, for one, would be a little dissapointed if they didn't include the animation of the elevator. I'd take it over no elevators any day though. Having said that...
THIS! Give us access to the interval control and we've got both elevators and teleportation booths.
Beam me up Scotty! This is a ridiculous, unrealistic idea, but I don't care! Teleportation pads born from developer laziness! I love it! I would love it more if occassionally the game would bug out and the guests would emerge from the exit fused together like some mad genetic mishap.
A Serious Thought
Unlike coasters and rides, there are no queues for elevators. There is no seperate queue and exit system.
Unlike shops & facilities, there has to be a "wait time" that's partially dependent on the activity of the second station.
Guests would have to "call" the elevator & when they do that, the request would have to be subsurviant to the demands of the active platform.
It's not so much about what goes on inside the elevator, it's more to do with the behavior of guests around the elevator doors.
I flippantly called this idea a no-brainer... now I think about it... hmmm.
With all that said, I still believe this is a project the devs should invest in. It would radically alter the possibilities of the game.
