New update?

Not true. The bobsled on Coney Island and the one at the Palisades Amusement Park in New Jersey were 100% wood. The manufacturers switched to steel after the war.

The Coney Island unit was made by Bartlett for the 1939 New York World's Fair, and was then moved to Coney. It remained open until 1974.

Yes, you are correct. I meant to say the only modern one ever built.

People asked for MACK bobsleds, the 'modern' ones.

I've seen people ask for both Flying Turns-like bobsleds and for Mack ones.

As for the Zephyrus,... I'm assuming it's going to be a wood coaster type that almost no one asked for. I could be wrong, but the description was very murky that it is hard to tell what it is. I wish Frontier would give us better descriptions, or release screenshots of ride that have "foggier" descriptions earlier in their reveal campaign.

Yes, but i think half the fun is guessing what they mean :D For me at least.

And from what i heard, the wooden Wild Mouse is basically a Mack Ride as well :D

I feel the same way. Guessing what the new rides are is more fun that. Maybe we will get a sneak peak tomorrow during the live stream Workshop Wonderland at what is to come with the new Vintage DLC.

At least they gave us more flat rides which a lot of people been asking for.[happy] So I'm pretty happy with this new DLC.

The Rock O Plane and traditional scrambler are perfect for my Lagoon Utah park I’m building. They have a bunch of rides that are already in Planet Coaster.

I agree, it’s great to see so many new rides in this DLC, and even some coasters!

To be honest I didn’t expect that much rides, so I’m more than happy :)

This is the DLC I've been hoping for. And with the new popcorn vendor and fortune telling booths this may be the beginning of soon-to-come midway game stalls. The DLC releases in 6 more days, and who knows, they may have not released every bit of information coming in the DLC... maybe we will see a new biome? Either way, more flat rides, the vintage theme, and a ton of new scenery pieces and animatronics is going to make way for more unique creations.

I'm ecstatic that the developers heard our suggestions and requests for this theme. I'm also hoping this the beginning to more extravagant DLCs- perhaps themes set along Circus, Festival, Bicentennial, Historical, Funhouse... I mean, the concepts they could come out with are endless. Who knows what could be next and what's to come in the near and distant future. The only thing that I am concerned about is the possibility to water parks- maybe Frontier will give Planet Coaster a sequel like Planet Splash.

I would love to see working swimming pools and elevators for hotels. I guess for now I can make fake pools and fake elevators and hide staircases in the elevator shaft.

The modern ones are made by Mack rides and debuted in the mid 80's. Avalanche at Kings Dominion here in Virginia is just one of these rides and opened 30 years ago in 1988.

While I can live without Soaked-like expansion, I think it would actually be cool. Because along with hotels, the would actually allow you to build real resorts.

Not entirely true. The first modern ones were made by Intamin AG, nearly identical in design tho except for that the Intamin bob’s run/ran (there’s only 1 remaining) with single carts like actual bobsleds, whereas the Mack version runs with trains.
