Why divide your fanbase and deny fans your dev updates?

you, and EVERYONE has to remember we're so early with this game, people are making assumptions about the game from what we see now, but what we see now so far from the real game.
the reason why they're making videos that are short and sped up because the game is so early, it looks bad now, the AI, and other stuff aren't as good now because its so early in development.
if they showed us the game now, we would dislike it, and not but the game.
later in the development they'll show us much more.

No one forces the poor people here to buy all the stuff here. The game will completely be playable without VIP, or head club, or alpha. Just for 26€.
So guys what are you talking about here? If you wants all the club member stuff, and vip stuff for free. Than I would if i were frontier increase the price up to 50-60€ for standard. Than you got everything in there but you have to pay more!

It would be dividing the fanbase if non coaster head members were getting very little to no information at all
but we are getting information (quite a lot actually with dev blogs, screen shots) - we just get it later
you can pay for optional extras - just like when you buy a car all things like sat nav, sensors are optional extras that you pay for- it's normal
and like others have said Frontier are not a gigantic studio like EA, they do this to help them financially and continue operating
kinda like a small mobile app company with its in app purchases
frontier aks for £££ to play the game early + talk to devs whereas EA ask for £££ for a different skin for gun or something like that - they do it for the sake of doing it

To me it's like Kickstarter! The backers who chose to pay more get some inside info and more Dev details. The game will be costing quite a bit to develop so all additional income Frontier get prior to release will help them to make a better more engaging experience when the game launches. The T-Shirt and Wrist band etc.. are just a thank you from Frontier for backing thier vision for what the game could be.

Imho, if you are not interested in Planet Coaster, you don't like it, don't think it isn't according to what you want or something else, then don't buy the game. You don't have to buy it.
You can say your opinion, of course, but it would be desirable if your opinion is backed by facts that are accurate.
If you like extras, and want to support the passion and love Frontier puts into Planet Coaster, you can buy Early Bird and/or Coaster Head Club and/or VIP tickets. If you only want the game, you can go for the (not so high priced) standard edition of 26.99€. Easy. It really depends on what you find is the worth of it.
This is how I think about dividing the fanbase. It's not really dividing. Everyone gets to see most of the material released by Frontier. Some material is exclusive to CHC members. That's a reward for supporting Frontier.

I have to say, my only complaint about Coaster Head and Early Bird pass is the pricing. Even though I'd probably buy one anyways they're still a bit too pricey, more than the game itself. But with that said, the standalone game is more than a fair price, so you could say that counters the other expensive packages.
Also if you don't want hostility, try being less passive-aggressive. Instead of asking why Frontier is "dividing up the fanbase", calling it "greedy EA capitalism", and calling everyone inconsistent in their hate, just ask if people think Coaster Head is fair, and why people are okay with it. Then you'll get friendlier responses, and apologies for potentially offending you. [heart]

yup. $40 to help in the testing phase of their game is way too much considering the game is only $30....It wouldn't be so bad if you actually had a say in the game itself though....like a poll as to whether they should include x or y at launch. Still, I'll probably get it if I get a new computer in time....playing a broken game will still be better than not playing one at all....as for CHC...eh.
