Where do you call home and why?

I don't really have a home system - I just hang around the Colonia region in general because I find it more interesting than the bubble. Everything being just a few jumps away helps for convenience, too.

My ships are generally stored at the Odin's Crag detention centre, because it's conveniently central, is incredibly unlikely to be hit with any station damage effects, and in a real emergency I can't be prevented from reaching it. But I'm very rarely actually there.

Jameson Memorial (again), because shopping mall.

It's also quite busy and thus makes the galaxy feel a little more lively. Although I'm feeling the itch once more to move my fleet again elsewhere, not sure where though as SD is just so darn convenient (well paying missions, tech dealers, IF, mat traders all close by).

Broderick Gateway, LHS 3675. First tourist interior I saw: clean and white, pretty green parkland, statues etc. Orbits one of a pair of Earthlike worlds pretty close to the star, and right in the middle of the Bubble, close to Fed and Imperial space, with Founders World 2 or 3 jumps away (depending on which ship). Also in what is usually a Powerplay uncontrolled "dead zone", though it was just about within Torval space for a few weeks.

Colonia Dream, where I made it to from the black just in time for 3,4, but am currently stuck on the station for the coming days.

Really good economy, good outfitting, and everyting you can't buy here is avilably next door in Mandh

Mandh is actually only a short jump away, we're possibly neighbours. I'll take a fly through your system when I come back from bounty hunting :)

I'm in Kremainn, not sure where I started out I think was 3447 not sure. Don't know enough about the game yet to make a move I guess.

My ship is “home” because it’s the only place my feet touch the floor.

But for background story purposes, Achenar 3 would be where my commander grew up, and Ceres Tarn would be the closest thing that is considered “home”.

The gravity is comforting.

Oh that's why some stations are white and lovely and others are so grim and industrial! I'd noticed in the Sol system that only one of the three Earth stations looks nice, I'll have to snoop around later and work out whether it's station-specific economy at work :)

...I was hoping for high tech and picturesque, maybe that's not going to pan out :(

Ray Gateway, Diaguandri. 15% off, and is pretty well stocked, can find most things near by if not there. My small collection of hulls is mothballed there with nothing in them. Have an long-range explorer, a multi-role, and a runabout operating out of there.

Leesti, the George Lucas station for now. I'm an Alliance player, and the Old Worlds area has a good mix of services and have lived in the Leesti system for a few years. I am thinking of moving to another Alliance system, but unsure of which.
