Where do you call home and why?

Jameson Memorial..... Love to play with the Gankers in the Shin System. Pulled a wing into following me a while back. They could never quite get into interdiction speed and staying away from any gravity wells gives you the chance to enter into a urine extracting conversation with them. Got them to 5k when they had enough and realised i was pulling them!
Also love toying with them in my mine laying iCourier...

Apart from that Jameson has EVERY Module (Except the fast thrusters and corrosion cargo), EVERY SHIP and all at a 10% discount! AND some high paying cargo missions for when i need to buy another ship!
Griefer :p

The asteroid base in Seagull Sector DL-Y d3 (Hell Port).
I'm based here quite some distance away from the bubble, playing a 'prospector', a miner/explorer, venturing out to mine were nobody has mined before.
Also, the view is quite nice when leaving the slot:

Eravate system is my home, there is nothing more satisfying than to kill new players. It is an amazing feeling when you see a new shiny Sidewinder go up in smoke. I love this game

Nothing says "Welcome to Open" like a rebuy screen.

My home is Jameson Memorial in Shinrarta Dezhra, where I moved originally for the 10% discount on everything, but usually buy stuff these days from Li Yong-Rui systems for 15% off.

As it happens, my hobbies include buying new shiny Sidewinders and flying them to Eravate.

Goldstein port in Lembava. It is high tech, and always has missions to kill pirates in pikum, which has a station 1ls away from the haz res ! There are also imperial systems right next to it so i can make federal and imperial rank without going more than 30ly away. The same planet with the haz res also has void opal hotspots so all i have to do is change ships if i feel like mining.

Moxon's Mojo in Bolg! Cos what name is cooler than Moxon's Mojo? Apart from 'Bolg' of course! It's a high tech system, slap bang dead center of Federation space with everything nearby, including a good smattering of engineers.

GARD has taken over the bar at Moxon's Mojo - The Black Beluga - is now GARD's operational headquarters. Not much planning gets done, as you can imagine, but a good time is had by all!

Come and base at Moxon's Mojo and enjoy the protection of GARD! Shoot us a o7 when you see us!
I was there for a few days, moved on. I agree it's a great system.

Oof, that is a mighty strong recommendation! Need to check that one out :)

Raxxla of course.

I found it a while ago. Just got back there after a trip into the Black. Hmm, traffic report seems a bit high.

When I'm not Raxxla bound I have many Anarchist bolt holes that are always pleased to see an Allie like me. Atroco, Reorte, Orrerre, Tjakiri, Crom, Terra Mater. There are many more.

When I'm being legit though I always haul back to Yembo and a minor faction I've been hanging with since the early days. It's a handy spot too, one of the last lawful systems before you hit the lawless reaches of the Pegasi Sector.

As per title :) Sounds like most commanders have a favoured home where they keep most/all of their ships and modules, and I'm interested to know where and why people have settled.

For myself, I'm based in Sak Manka, an imperial system near the 'bottom' of the bubble. High tech economy means it has a broad array of modules and ships, and the coriolis station, Impey Vision (love the name) sits just 10-11ls from the star, so very fast to get to once in-system. There are some materials on local planets, but it's not the best system for farming by far. Does have an encoded material trader.

Originally came here about 7-8 weeks ago. Long story short, I was feeling guilty after doing a 'wet work' mission that had me murdering civilians - and didn't even complete properly, causing me to abandon the mission with a bounty on my head. As penance, I dedicated myself to shifting refugees out of the Apishna system, which was dealing with the aftermath of a Thargoid attack. Turned out those taxi runs were amazing money/hour even in my little Cobra, and it's a decently fast way to grind ranks with the local superpower - and I really wanted that sexy Clipper*.

So I spent several days playing taxi driver and ultimately needed somewhere nearby that I could swap ships/modules. Sak Manka filled that particular need. And Impey Vision's flight control is staffed by a gentleman with a charming Imperial accent and he makes me feel valued and respected. That there is a man who knows to order the nearest slave to prepare a pot of Fujin tea whenever my ship approaches the dock. That is proper service, and you just can't find that everywhere.

Anyway, in more recent times, Sak Manka has gone to war with Apishna (which is still repairing), with the result that both systems are full of high grade signal sources and great for grabbing imperial shields and similar materials. I don't even care who wins, since I'm allied to the relevant factions in both systems. I have no intention of picking a side or getting involved in the conflict; may the best faction win because I'm with the winners either way. Marvellous.

*I have since concluded that the Clipper isn't really good for much besides getting away from other things. Which is a useful ability, if you're a trader or miner, and not very handy for anything else. Due to the location near the outer edge of the bubble, I would be willing to re-home to another high tech system, if I found one with the same facilities plus an accessible haz res. Bonus points for being along a superpower border, extra bonus if it is near all three territories.

Hi, I don't suppose you are working BGS in Sak Manka? The reason I ask is I represent Artemis Corporation, Sak Manka is one of 8 systems we control and we have been trying for months to get an expansion state there so we can expand into Mandh. However even though we have about 10 CMDRs constantly working the system we never seem to be able to exceed 70% before our influence is dragged back down. I was putting it down to previous bgs bugs that were introduced with 3.0 but I found your post when searching the forums for my old bug report on Sak Manka.

If you are actively working for multiple factions in Sak Manka I would be willing to make it worth your while if you could stop and work for Artemis Corporation for a couple of days so we can hit 75% influence, once that happens the bgs in Sak Manka doesn't matter.

I hung my hat in LHS 20 for about two years while I played solo. Once I became involved with the community, I joined Artemis Corporation, and we based our faction in Saisiyat right next door to Sak Manka. We control Sak Manka now too, which is also a great system. I shop at Impey Vision regularly. That entire pocket of the galaxy is a great spot to live in.

Cartwright Oribital, in Awawar. Remote enough for my purposes, near enough for my other purposes.

Also, mere lightseconds from entry, a well-stocked station, and it's not ugly either.

Heinkel city in Almad for me. It's a system I picked basically at random in imperial space after I purchased my first ship (a viper) and left my starting system. I stray away for long periods, but always come back to it. It might not be the best of systems. But I get a nice variety of missions, there's a few anarchy systems nearby and the closest system has an interstellar factor which is handy

Fuelum - home of the Fuel Rats, because i'm a Fuel Rat.

Although home is a strong word: more a ship storage facility and base of operations, when not roaming the bubble refuelling stranded commanders.

When I started on PC, my first home was Borr, Armstrong City I think.
It was a Li Yong-Rui system, so lots of discounts, and LHS 20 wasn't far away. It had RES sites, and there was a comp nav beacon system nearby, as I was grinding combat rank off and on, and CNBs were the best way back then.
I then became a rat, and shifted to Fuelum, then shifted to Jaques station at the very start, before it was Colonia. With all the new systems, it now calls Rodentia, Surly's Nest home (the Fuel Rat's Colonia system). That account is still out there, pottering about, no engineering at all, but it's not my main account any more.

Not exactly "home" as I'm roaming the Bubble, chasing lucrative missions. But there is one place I have all my ships and modules stored: - Medupe City, Cubeo.

When I started it was usual starting system. Been flying from station to station, doing missions, earning credits and progressing through ships. Somewhere between DBX and AspX, when my jump range was big enough I didn't sweat at 50 LYs distance I decided to change surroundings and visit different power. Decided to check imperial space and what's the best place to start when in new country? Capital ofc. Bought one ship, then another. Got few modules and by the time I realized Cubeo turned into my basae of operations.

But I don't treat it as home base. In fact I'm thinking about moving somewhere else. I'm thinking about nice looking tourist station (you know, palm trees, fountains; typical eye-candy). Long term goal as I'm stranded near Colonia. First I need to get back. Few more weeks and it'll be 6 months I'm in deep space.

I wonder how much cleaning is needed to make my fleet operational again.

Hi, I don't suppose you are working BGS in Sak Manka?

No worries, I'm not actively pushing BGS, nor really doing any mission running. Next on my TODO list is finish engineering my Phantom and consider a Sagg A* pilgrimage. I got quite a ways out towards the rim, and as far 'up' as I could go, so I think galactic centre has to be the logical direction :)
