Edited down the quote a bit.

So two commanders, asking a single commander questions? Might put a bit of a spin on things.

And did you ever think you might not have gotten a reply because your victim was using a VR device that makes typing very difficult? Or might not be fluent in English? Did you give him time to type on the console keyboard?
Any of these things could have slowed down comma.
Honestly, who cares? He was flying in open, and he logged from combat. While threatened to lose a Vulture. My remorse is quite limited.

I'm sure they did provide plenty of time.

As far as using a VR device that's impossible to control for, so, it's irrelevant. Regarding English, the pilot in question was using a KWS which is a big red flag for supporters of Anarchy factions. If it were me, I may not even given them a message and just opened fire.

But this is all part of the game, of course. There's not really a victim and no one was hurt by what happened.

Well, I'm proud to say I got my *** handed to me as expected. :)

You wouldn't have lost in a Stealth Beluga.

More to the point, glad to see you taking the L so well. I plan on asking HP sometime for some gentlemanly duels to help me get the hang of PvP, via the "go straight for Everest" mentality, i.e. training with the best is slower and brings more failures, but with better overall results from the harsher difficulty-

I think.

But either way I'm going to lose a lot in the near future.

Not at all. You will have gained the right to hold your head up high, knowing that you've pitted yourself against the best that Elite has to offer. You will have embraced adversity and gotten gudder for it, no matter how many rebuy screens you're sent to. You will have drawn the sword of self-challenge instead of clutching the nanny-like hand of blocklists and PvP-less PGs.

In short, you will have won a far larger game than the one we all have on our hard drives.

Before you deliver another speech like that you should signal us to stand and put a hand over our heart.

lol no I still play solo and peace PGs when I don't feel like dealing with excitement and just want to veg out trading consumer tech or something after a ty day at work.

You heavily overestimate my dedication to PvPing- I just want to get better because I can.

edit: wow that's an aggressive filter you got there

Good man (or woman)! You won't learn much beating people who do not challenge you. I have lost far more fights than I have won, but that says more about my choice of opponent. In my case, I feel I need more time (sic: to practice) if I were to make significant strides, but I'll still happily pit myself against the best, maybe they can blast some skill into me. ;)

I think it is awesome that you were willing to participate in this duel.
For those of us still on the bench you're a hero. :D

I have always heeded a challenge in the forum. I lost the last time too. lol. Matter of honour. As the main representative of my squadron I can do no less. o7

Well said.

Hey! I still have a score to settle with one of your wingmates! I fought them a few weeks ago in my lightweight Mamba, and lost. I'd love a rematch or even to fight yourself :)

This time I won't be in a light mamba :p
I hope our paths cross soon, but if not, we can always have a shindig at Jameson one day. ;) I have a phantom I'm cooking which should be fun. Just don't bring missiles. ;)

Guilty? Nah. The only thing I genuinely dislike a CMDR for personally is new-player clubbing. It's a cowardly effort to avoid competition.

I find it mildly exciting that as a Felicia Winters loyalist, I may stumble across an enemy CMDR with hostile intent at any time. Thrillin' stuff.
What about seal clubbing to get good guy squadrons riled up to start a war?
I've done that a couple times when I couldn't find anyone to fight. Kill a few noobs and within an hour nearly every white knight squadron is on your tail. Good times.

Also, seal clubbing is essentially impossible now so...

Remember: it's even seal clubbing when done in Shinrarta 😂

Yes, I considered those things and outside of a conflict system I would've have given benefit of the doubt.

However, it was a conflict system and I was taking no chances.

Yeah, it's much a moot point now. My main problem with seal clubbing was that it took advantage not of a player's inherent lack of skill or willingness to learn, but simply ED's clifflike learning curve to bag easy kills on people who literally can't challenge you because they haven't had the time to learn the mechanics yet (took me about fifteen hours of play before I learned that high-wakes can't be mass-locked, I shouldn't fly without rebuy, and that dropping out against interdictions shortens FSD cooldown.) And yes, while I could have gone into the game intending to cram exam-style about the game's mechanics for the first ten hours, that would not have been fun. At all. And few people approach a game that way.

While the Pilot's Federation area isn't perfect, it at least ensures that a person encountering end-game gankers will be mildly familiar with the game, not least of which due to the new loading tooltips (they finally added stuff like "Don't fly without a rebuy"! So happy. )

You are a bad person in real life.
You are a person who thinks that hurting children is okay, that famine is a good thing, and that non-dairy creamer is acceptable.
You probably don't think much of yourself IRL, probably got bullied as a kid, and your wife thinks you're weak and not manly enough to satisfy her.
You like to crush jingle-bells at Christmas and you put unwashed clothing into the Goodwill donation bins.

Anyways, that is all I could glean from your post.

Feel free to do same re my posts.
