What other games are we all playing?

Im sucked back into Rimworld suddenly. I really would feel confident declaring it one of my favorite games of all time.

I like making my real world self with the prepare carefully mod. Im brutally honest with how my stats are so im pretty terrible in game, I also start as the rich explorer so I'm alone. Watching the madness ensue with Randy Random as the storyteller never fails to disappoint.

I am completely taken in again by Ghost recon: Wildlands.
I had not played it in a while and then discovered that Ubisoft added a permadeath mode.

I can't stop playing it (solo mode only).
It is extremely exciting, because every mistake potentially means you lose all progress and have to start from zero again.
I have died quite a few times, because after 8 hours of playing, I tend to get careless and inevitably start taking too much risk.

Wildlands is such a fun shooter. It has very good game and progression systems, a beautiful open world, and numerous exquisitely modeled weapons and gadgets and vehicles. The gunplay is awesome and empowering, but on high difficulty setting a single bullet could kill you instantly.

I wish Elite Dangerous would eventually get FPS game play mechanics like this. The gun play and game mechanics of Wildlands combined with the spaceships and endless Galaxy of Elite would ensure that I would never need to play another game again.

Agreed, Wildlands is an awesome game with tons of content in a beautiful world.
I also think it's a fair game with the right amount of loot and rewards, it's very satisfying to snipe out a whole enemy camp with your team using the drone.

Right now I'm enjoying Red Dead Redemption 2, just a couple hours in but it's world is made fantastically with so much detail and there's so much to do!!!!!
If you're into Western style stuff then this game is the pinacle, you're actually living an outlaw's live robbing stage coaches, trains and whatnot to going hunting, fishing and playing poker at the local saloon.
The shootouts are a thrill and fair, love to shoot at an oilwagon and blow half the enemy's troops to smithereens yeehaw!!

If RDR2 is released on PC I will buy it for sure. It is time an RDR game gets released on PC.

Same, RDR games, from what it seems, has everything I wanted from wild wild west game. Never had a console so I hope they will finally release one of their cowboy games on PC. I still play GTA games, with San Andreas being still one of my fav ones. Couldn't care less about MP aspect of GTAV, but loving every minute of Rockstar SP content.

Currently playing Lords of Midnight (yet again) and Borderlands the Pre Sequel (which I didn't intially like as much as 1+2 but has grown on me this play through). While I wait for the FSS issues to be fixed.

I got fed up again with all the bugs in ED and bought Red Dead Redemption 2 this week.
I'm loving it!!!! Fantastic world, very immersive and looking spectacular in 4k, I should've bought this much sooner.
This will keep me busy for quite some time.

Also added Sudden Strike 4 to my backlog, it was on sale on the Xbox.

RDR2 is the game of the century, well almost. It has absolutely EVERYTHING a game needs. I don't understand how it lost the game of the year title to the boring God of War.
RDR2 has amazing graphics, a well written plot, awesome music, excellent and believable characters, a very believable world, and details to just lose your mind in.

Sure, the controls can be frustrating at times just because a controller has limitations. But Arthur's clumsiness can also get irritating.

But all in all the game's not so great aspects can easily be forgiven because the rest of the game is just so damn good.

How do you break a horse?
I tried a couple times and managed to laso them but as soon as I get off my horse approach them and try to calm them they break loose and run off.
I've got a nice black horse atm, stole it from a horse farm in Emerald Ranch but there are so many great horses running around in the wild.

Did you find that guy who was bitten by a snake?
I helped him and he wandered off.
Later I went to the gunstore in Vallentine and he was sitting on a bench there.
When he saw me he thanked me again and told me I could pick any item in the gunstore on his tab.
So cool, I wasn't even thinking about him anymore, I picked a nice Vulcan Pistol as my primary side arm.

This game rocks!!!

Don't laso the horse...get off your current horse before the wild one get's spooked and slowly walk up to it...the option to calm the wild horse will appear...once you get close enough, the option to stroke the horse and jump on it will appear...once you jump on it, pull back on the left stick to stay seated and wait till the horse stops leaping about. Feed it and pat the horse and it'll obey your commands.

You can either get it to follow you or you can take your saddle from your other horse making the new one your main horse, you can then stable either one at Valentine or any of the other stables...

Simples

Thank you so much!

In rdr1 you had to laso a horse so I assumed it was the same in rdr2
I know that when you get the bonding at level one the horse will obey you and you can make it your main horse.
I've already sold a couple horses because the stable was full, rusling horses is quite easy.
I also got the preorder bonus horse but it's so huge and wide, I just don't like the look of it although it has pretty good stats.

Aye, I never liked that Ardennes plough horse war horse much either. Zeus is a seal brown Andalusian stallion with a good blend of strength, stamina and speed...saw it up near the indian reservation among a herd of standarbred/thouroughbreds and singled him out.

If you have a bit of cash spare, you can also buy an Andalusian at the stables up in Strawberry...can't remember how much though since I never paid for mine.
Another great horse to have is if you come across an old guy picking stones from his horses hoof at the side of the road...if you speak to the guy the horse will kick him and kill him...chase after it and laso it, calm it and take it...it's a standardbred palomino with some of the best stats in the game.

Love the imagery in RDR2...

I read somewhere that you can get a legendary white horse in one of the towns, it's just sitting there unsaddled.
I haven't been to the Indian reservation yet, I just got into chapter three after rescueing that german fellow.
I'm taking my time playing the story and do as much as possible with every new erea we get to.
It's been a while I had so much fun playing a game, I said it before, I should've bought rdr2 way sooner, it's like GTA in the wild west, I just like the wild west a lot more. :)

I stole a black Arabian horse in Saint Denis. Later I read that one of the updates from R* removed that possibility.

You should definitely take your time with everything. It's totally worth every minute you spend.

The white Arabian is up near where you start...in the snow along the west side of Lake Isabella...if you can catch it, it's kinda skittish.

For anyone who doesn't mind a few spoilers on where to find things, this is a great tool for RDR2...it doesn't affect the story in any way, isn't a cheat...just a great tool.

Don't go using it then blaming me for spoilers  ...I'm on my 4th playthrough and it comes in very handy.

I think that was what I read, about the Arabian horse.
If Rockstar removed it then that's okay with me, there are enough horses to go around.

I'm actually stunned by the sheer beauty of this game, in 4k and hdr support it looks absolutely fantastic.
Quite often I just stop my horse and enjoy the view.
Plus up untill now I haven't encountered a single bug, they're most likely there but so far I had a very smooth playthrough.

Very nice map, it's very usefull for when you think you cleared an area and want to know if you missed something.
I rather find stuff on my own though, just riding around and camp overnight etc. you stumble on all kinds of events and people.
