Sidewinder prayer

Once you start fleeting up, it turns into a weekend vehicle, so to speak. It's like having a 1960s MG roadster in the garage. You do some work on it, take it out for a spin once in a while just for fun. Mine's my OG Sidey from 2014.

Frankly i found Sidewinder to be a perfect game design choice to start the game with.
It's a small sized ship which means new players have it easy to enter and leave stations. Can dock anywhere as opposed to large sized ships.
It's very maneuverable making it fun to perform many tasks, from short-range exploring to low level combat. It is limited however to its internal modules.
Not to mention great cockpit design which feels homey with the little shelf to the right of the pilot's chair, fire extinguisher(i guess) and other stuff laying about.
Furthermore, the visibility in the cockpit feels is great showing what the game has on offer. Allowing new players to have a good look around and wonder what else the game might hide. I love Sidewinder and jump back into it every now and again. To me it has the best cockpit of all ships in the game because i know i'd have a bit of this and that laying in my cockpit have i been a real life spacecraft pilot.

The Sidewinder Prayer:

“RNGesus, where ever you might be, please bless me with credits enough to afford an Eagle, or anything else, that I might park this hockey puck and not look back.”

Long since left the Sidey behind. If I'm in a large ship and spot a good paying outpost mission I'll buy a Sidewinder just to take the mission. Transfer the Python and sell the Sidewinder. Oh and they make good bookmarks too. (y)

The Sidewinder is unique. It's the sole non-purpose ship. Almost every other ship is better than the Sidey at everything. The exception is the Hauler, being an even worse ship for fighting. But even the Eagle as dedicated combat ship already beats the Sidey at cargo capacity as well.

I hate to be a cynic (I don't really) but does this topic have anything to do with gaining rep to become a Moderator... really now, if you wish to be a Mod then I have no doubt you'll have to be a 'Really Helpful Engine' and curry favour for a long time, not just get a bit of rep for insincere posts.

I may still be a bit moody about missing out on the milk monitor job in jnr school... grrrr!
