I hate to be a cynic (I don't really) but does this topic have anything to do with gaining rep to become a Moderator... really now, if you wish to be a Mod then I have no doubt you'll have to be a 'Really Helpful Engine' and curry favour for a long time, not just get a bit of rep for insincere posts.

I may still be a bit moody about missing out on the milk monitor job in jnr school... grrrr!

I bought a Sidey to replace the 'loaner' - 'A' rated everything and used it for early mission running. Still have it, in Colonia, ready for my imminent return, it'll get some more use there too

One of my favorite things about the sidewinder is the pilot training handbook on the bottom right in the seat pocket

Picked up a second account a while back to do "Triple Elite" only in a Sidewinder.

Exploration - Elite (Sag A* and back to achieve this- cherry picking ELW/WW systems enroute)
Trading - Elite (finding the best way to make trade rank with 10t cargo space)
Combat - Dangerous (many hours spent in Hi Rez sites)

Imperial Rank - King (data delivery missions)
Federal Rank - Admiral (data delivery missions)

Have about 1.6bn in the bank with nothing to spend it on...

if you stand up with the headset, on you can check the outside of the ship for damage, as your head is outside of the cockpit

Mainly because I've not flown a sidey since the game was officially released. Not heard of anyone that has engineered a sidewinder, feel free to post here and share your observations.

if you strip some items off (untilty mounts & SRV) you can get her to 745!!

i keep one with shield killer torp and grandad super pen railgun along with engie shield and over boosted engines cant take a hit but certianly can god smack anything bigger than it.

I have two.
One is a rated, the other is a rated and fully G5 engineered, completed with reactive hull armour. I used to fly around the starter systems in it, and see if any griefers would interdict me. Sometimes I would kick their butts.
