I dunno.

They seem like a good idea until you actually use them, and then they tend to become irritating due to the slow recharge rate/puny recharge from SCBs.

I fit 'em to all my cargo ships, passenger ships and to any ships that are horrifically under-shielded.
Basically, I really only think they're useful for ships that I don't plan to get shot at.
My Multirole ships all get A-rated shields and my Combat ships & Mining ships get Bi-weaves 'cos I tend to think recharge rate is more important that outright strength.

Same here. I once had all my combat ships equipped with Prismatics but then discovered the magic of Bi-weaves and now my Prismatics are mostly in storage or on the traders.

Real men also play in Solo. Only children meta-game and super-joule their prisma-shields.
Real men have prostate issues too.

I thought all you could do early on was move PP cargo around. I’ve been sitting at rank 1 for months because I’d rather eat dirt than haul that stuff any more.

The blue hair girl does not like shooting... so it requires some one else be on expansion and then you kill there ships... feds (Zac) and indi ( Arc ) are currently on expansion this week.

Find there expansion system listed in PP sections and take out there built for war ships... ( there not pirates builds they are combat war ship builds in the zones)

Other wise it is cargo hauling or Pay your way to 750 merits...
Others in Empire do expansion via combat... but not young bluey just via media (cargo)....
