I love the Paleobotany idea and how it adds a lot of options and ways to plan enclosures and mix herbivores and promote their health and lifespan and prestige. It got me to thinking, wouldn't it be cool to do a similar thing with the carnivores? All meat is not created equal, just like with veggies, and what kind of meat they eat would affect them the same way.
For the meat slab feeder, these could be the choices:
Goat
Beef
Pork
Poultry
Game (wild animals like deer, bison, kangaroo, etc)
And for the live feeder:
Goat
Cow
Pig
Turkey
Deer
With the various preferences and penalties as the Paleobotany system. For example, Velociraptor's primary preference is Beef/Cow, with Goat and Game/Deer as secondaries but Pork/Pig is detrimental to it. Troodon/Proceratosaurus' primary preference is Poultry/Turkey with Pork/Pig and Goat as secondaries but Beef/Cow is detrimental. Acrocanthosaurus' primary is Beef/Cow with Pork/Pig and Game/Deer as secondaries but Poultry/Turkey is detrimental, etc etc (actually for the Large theropods have it so they don't even notice the Turkey, Medium theropods can eat them but they'd need to eat two or three to get completely full). You'd still be able to mix Small and Medium/Large theropods as long as they share the same preferences, of course, and the Spinosaurids have their own fish feeder now so they can easily have any Small theropod and its food preference with them.
