Why would you stop playing because FDev have not told what is coming in over a years time? Is your enjoyment of the game only dependent on the knowledge of what the next update will be?

Me playing the game is dependent on me having goals or acheivements that I WANT to persue, as their is very little, in terms of what FD provides, that interests me.
Currently I've not got anything that I want to acheive, so I ain't playing.....maybe if, when FD bring something new into the game, then it MAY tweak my interest again...atm, no!

It’s a sand box game that has new things to play with every now and then. Skyrim in space it is not.

A sandbox is only really fun if there's stuff to do in the sandbox. If it's jusy a big thin layer of sand it's a bit boring.

I wonder if there are differences per platform. PC may be holding up. PS4 is like a deadzone.

There's plenty to do,you could wrap all the activities into normal game,add in a storyline and suddenly you've got a reason to interact with the game.

Mission packs!!

There is stuff to do, just no reason (for me) to do it. If/when FDev introduce a purpose other than to get the next ship/engineering mats there will be a reason to get stuck in again. Right now I'm just dipping in periodically so I don't get guff at combat.

If Steamcharts are anything to go by (they probably aren't) the active playerbase is just as big as it used to be in 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015. Maybe everyone on PS4 blocked you?
