I have what I believe to be a couple of reasonable requests for Frontier Developments.
1, Please can they (as soon as they are aware of them) close down any repeat threads asking for Frontier Developments to change their mind on something when Frontier Developments have not only made their position clear but that they also will not be changing their decision?
2, Please can they lock the forum accounts of any OPs who keep making repeat requests of Frontier Developments demanding they change their mind when Frontier Developments have already made it clear they will not do so? There should be a sliding scale of lock-out; 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, permanently.
This seems perfectly fair and reasonable to me (and before anybody suggests MY forum account be locked, I only make these suggestions in threads that keep getting repeated).

I think Frontier moderation policy is quite clear, so repeated requests to change it ....
What about when FDev have not made it clear? Which is the norm. Nothing is off the table, everything is subject to change. Those changes should make sense, if they do not they can be questioned.
Probably nobody is going to sue FDev if the CIV is made available again or not made available, it's not that big a deal. I guess people will be annoyed if they go back on one of the most unambiguously worded exclusivity clauses they have described though. The path of least resistance is inaction. Why would FDev make the CIV available and potentially create more issues than just release another ship, as they already do regularly?
was actually going to say the same thing before, Frontier could literally offer it on a plate right now to everyone and not a thing will be done, here is why;
Despite some crazed claims like "i bought the Cobra MK4 for 120 Pounds" (chuckled with that one) this is not true at all, this instead bought the LEP, players who bought the LEP were not informed of the MK4 at all as it simply did not exist, the MK4 came later as a part of the Horizons Pre-order in Feb 2016. this pre-order offered the Cobra MK4 as an extra (was not a part of the price of the DLC), LEP owners automatically received this and thus the Cobra MK4.
So in short, the Cobra itself has the monetary value of 0 in any currency (regardless if you bought the DLC alone or the LEP). and if you tried complaining about this to either British or international legal affairs you will be laughed out the door. If the Cobra was worth ANYTHING at all then yeah, you would have grounds to push.
I guess the only actual effect would be the reputation of FDev going back on a public statement, if FDev said nothing on the matter then they could add it right now with minimalistic backlash, but since they put it in writing they shot themselves in the foot.

Frontier have not repeatedly stated their position on this issue. They have been absent from formally responding for months / years now.
As a discussion forum, closing down discussions because they 'shouldn't' be discussed is a dangerous precedent.
I agree with closing down multiple threads that talk about the same thing but not to the extent of having no threads active.
Threads, such as this, hightlight that this is still a 'hot topic' more than three years after the release of Horizons.
As far as I can see, only multiple active threads at the same time, threads that go wildly off topic and threads that turn abusive get shut down.

I was aware of the Cobra IV offer, when I brought the LEP. There was a choice. at that time. Pre-buy Horizons and get the Cobra and Buy the LEP and get the Cobra. I chose the LEP.
