No, they don't talk too much about future stuff now.. Not sure why..![]()
Hehe, fair enough, but I have already seen a few comments about that subject and I was wondering if I had missed something!

You can craft save beacons.Okay, I finally booted up NMS in VR, and gave it a whirl:
The Good: Game looks great in VR, and works smoothly on my 980 (no TI). There was what looked like a tiny stegosaurus near where I started that were kind of cute.
The Bad: Good grief parts of this interface is awkward to use. Can't tell you how many times I've tried to pick flowers, pearls, or open containers, only it won't let me "grab" anything, because as near as I can the interface gets confused when there's too many close together. I can't take full advantage of roomscale VR, because I need to turn my avatar's body using the controllers, which sometimes causes things not to work. Oh, and it seems I have to hold the Vive Wands at arms length in order for it to recognize certain commands, like sprinting.
The What the Frell????? I must've blotted out that this game won't let you save except for at certain locations. I just spent two hours, the only contiguous two hours I'll have today to game, trying to find my frelling crashed ship before I had to leave, and I can't save anything I've done??? The only signal I could find told me it was eight hours away! Are you serious???

I am also under the impression that Beyond is some sort of closure, and I wouldn't expect anything NMS related except bugfixes. It was vaguely mentioned here and there, but I cannot exactly grasp where to provide links. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the last free update for NMS. I would be happy with "exploration DLC" if they come up with one.
I'll try to remember that for the next game I start, since I'm certainly not going to continue with this one. We can craft those right away I hope? You can craft save beacons.
Yes. Or you can buy the blueprint on the first space station (I didn't start completely from scratch, this time, so I'm not sure which blueprints you know from the get go, but I'm 98% sure save beacons and portable refiner are there from the start)I'll try to remember that for the next game I start, since I'm certainly not going to continue with this one. I don't know if you have read the comments on Steam regarding VR performance - just in case not:Really like Beyond and especially VR implementation, I’ve about played about 8h since launch, solely on VR. But performance problems are starting to irritate more and more. And it actually got worse with latest experimental. I have i7 4790K, GTX 1080, 16gb and using WMR. Performance on planets is not very good, even everything on low there are too manyhickups and it just looks too bad. Reprojection is constantly on on planets, flying above planets is worst. I really hope they can improve performance in future patches, even a little, they managed to make it work on psvr and pretty well even, it seems!
Based on this twitter post when Beyond was released, there is still a lot more to come.
"We've focused on other ways to give the game new life and variety, but know also that Beyond provides a broader foundation for radical things in the future. Beyond is just another step "

I'd like to see some cities in NMS, not just player made, but procedural. Probably a bit too hard to implement though.Exploring is great, but could be really great, if they spent a little time on it for players. Abandoned cities (with story line to follow etc). A more varied outlook on wrecks. Long forgotten species to find and so on. Not via quest, but you find them naturally through exploration. Then follow a line of inquiry type thing, to find out, who, why and where.. That type of thing.

Yeah. The VR needs a lot of patches and work to get good. Bunches of small issues, but overall, definitely on the right track. The Bad: Good grief parts of this interface is awkward to use. I know. Saving is always a part of how to play the game. You save when you step out of the space ship, but not when you step in, and not if you step out of a vehicle (exocraft). And there's no save feature inside the capital ship except for jump in then out of your space ship. The What the Frell????? Only portable refiner at start. I'm playing this update from scratch.Yes. You only need two metal sheets and a bunch of sodium nitrate, which takes literally 20 seconds to get.
I've owned NMS since it came out, but this is the first time I've ever really been hooked in to scratching below the surface. With Beyond's release, I'm mildly surprised to find that it's surprisingly fun to play now. Not very difficult, but relaxing and colorful.Only portable refiner at start. Had to buy the blueprint at the Nexus for 10 salvage items, I think it was.
I appreciate the heads up! Any idea what this latest update brings? Until I'm able go somewhere with bandwidth, at least I can still play NMS in offline mode without updating.PS4 update is 1.06 GB for 2.07 just incase auto update did not get it.. info for those on data caps..

If its to big talk to Fdev its what ever size they set it to allow on the forum... every one else may be "tiny" but thats because they don;t know how sites works...ps - your signature takes up way too much screen real estate...
