Best Guess on How much for the Fleet Carrier will cost

If anyone was in EVE when Titans 1st came out, the cost/time for one was "Insane" "way high" But in no time they were all over the place

I will say 10B base, Kitted out another 7-8B + and a stupid amount of comps and data

And yes, by Feb/March they will be all over the place

so many people have effectively infinite money and if they dont, they can make enough in less than a week if they wanted to no matter how expensive they make it.

So I propose that they make fleet carriers require Purchasing 400 anacondas and then shipping them to a new space shipyard stationed 10,000 ly outside of human space towards the galactic core.

This location was chosen to be safe from thargoid attack.

The 400 anacondas are recycled into the fleet carriers, which you then have to retrieve once they are built. Fleet carriers come with F and G rated components with the upgraded submodules requiring sending various donor ships to be recycled. The only place to upgrade fleet carriers is at the fleet carrier shipyard.

There is no insurance for fleet carriers. They can be destroyed like any ship. You lose all assets on them if destroyed. Keeping fleet carrier location hidden will be a paramount defensive strategy.

Due to the rarity of fleet carriers in the elite universe, minor factions will request your assistance frequently and refusing to do them favors results in negative relations.

What on Arexack makes you think that FD want "the average player" to own one? They're the much-asked-for "end-game content". Top 10% of players, at most. Preferably top 1%. They should be incredibly rare. Seeing one should make you go "Wow!", not "Oh no, not another one".

I'm not top 10%. I've got 4 billion credits in the bank, and there's no way I should be able to afford one, not for another decade or so.
I don't think FDEV is developing a content for 1% of the players. Oh wait...

A naked Cutter is at 200 MCr.
So, say 2 BCr. for the basic naked carrier, going up to 10 BCr. for a fully equipped carrier (support vessel, additional services).

After buying the reactive armour for my Mamba, I'm down again to 500 M cash. Time to finish up engineering that Mamba and relocate to Colonia for some mining.

Considering the carrier belongs to the squadron and not the individual player (well, maybe the squadron leader), it could cost considerably more than 2 Billion.
Typically, the carrier will be purchased by the individual player, who may assign it to the squadron.

I'm totally cool with this. I often fly a Sidewinder around Jameson Memorial because I grow bored with every hollow square being a Cutter or Corvette (though these days griefer FDLs seem to be the flavor of the month).

The Cutter is the most expensive ship at over 200,000cr, but can be outfitted to mid 1bn. So I can well see a 1/2bn initial cost and outfitting (if that's a thing.. or is it just buy carrier, add support = x?) could well be in the mid 5s/10s bn. Or... we've no idea so it'll be what FDev decide after reading all these threads and add 30%. :D

Everyone seems to be focusing on credits, lets deal with that quickly... I think 5 Billion would be around right ballpark.

However, what no one seems to be addressing is the qualification criteria, we know that to gain access to 'end game' stuffs, it's not about credits, it's about GRIND.

Examples being: -
Top level Engineers (Must be dangerous) - Grind
Top level Ships (Must be Duke or Rear Admiral) - Grind
Top Level Station (Must be Elite) - Grind
Top Level Missions (Must be Allied) - Grind

So Fleet Carrier (Must be ......) - Grind

I'm going to guess Triple Elite?

Thoughts?

5bn and a rank/level/ally status? Ouch... though, sure, why not. It would give players the chance to rank up and make money....

I think the total requirements may be as simple as having “a large amount of credits.” However I think at most they would do it like SD and maybe you need to be elite in one of the ranks

10 bil is ludicrous. Should be 1-2
Anyway, my best guess is probably 500mil up to 2 billion. I know some commanders have way more bank than that, but I can't imagine FD will price them in the tens of billions. That's just too far outside of most people's abilities to earn. (yes, us vets know about all the gold rushes, but not everyone is so hardcore).
Guys, I just went for my first mining trip and cashed rewards (little late, but somehow I wasn't interested before). With Type-10 full of Void Opals I can earn about 650mil per mining trip. Let's even say 500millions. And after you learn few things it doesn't even take that long (not to mention it was surprisingly fun and relaxing).
If you play in a squadron and wing up with other members who also mine, you get tens of millions in trade dividends for just being in a station when they sell.
And this isn't some kind of hardcore, hard to find out about, gold rush.

Billions are not what they used to be.

I'm starting to think this is no coincidence.
