Im serious. I actually hate that Blue icon. It makes me unhappy to see it.
Its the start of more to come i have no doubt.
In what sense?
I don't believe how many people I previously considered reasonable are jumping onto this bandwagon.

Frontier made the liveries free - earnable by playing the game. And they closed their online store, which has been their only source of income.
Don't you think it's only fair that they've put a reminder in the game that you can also support them by buying the stuff?

Fdev should do an April fool where when you hyperjump, you don't come out to a star on the other side, you end up boosted into the ARX store, just to see the forums explode. Try as i might i just can't get angry about a blue button, i mean i could roleplay in my own mind that it's a gift-shop at the station, i keep asking myself, do i want the game to do well, to have the funds to keep going forward and bring us the features we sorely want, and the answer is yes. But they need the funding somehow.

maybe i'm wrong and they are already doing very well financially, if that's the case i'll admit my ignorance, but i don't see any evidence that ED has a massive player base, it's more likely it's just us in a niché game.

The liveries are not free, So dont bark down that avenue. I have no issue with Microtransactions if they are just cosmetic and so far i have been ok with Frontiers handling of their monetisation mechanics. Im not a fan of premium currency because it masks the real world money value of items. But an informed customer can still navigate that if they take their time. Microtransactions in Elite Dangerous are not Frontiers ONLY source of income, and to be honest if they had continued to release quality content in DLC and season packs like they originally designed to the game might be further along and Frontier could of earned revenue from real content and not just microtransactions which to be honest seems to be more of a focus for them now i feel.

This thread and complaint is not about ARX, Microtransactions or the integration of the store front itself into the game, so deflate the scope of your counter rage.

It's simply about class, predatory and patronising.... bad design. Move the STORE icon because its tacky and insulting.

I agree with those who feel that the store icon in the station screen is way too far. Frontier this change needs to be reversed as soon as possible. I have bought several cosmetics for the game and have been happy to support you. I am also not angry with Arx as a concept. However, it should have been obvious from the outset that experienced CMDR's were going to be upset by the overabundance of Arx in the game UI. Please try harder to understand your experienced players Frontier. We are still your bread and butter as far as Elite Dangerous is concerned. We aren't feeling the love right now.

The fact that you folks didn't throw experienced CMDR's a small bone doesn't help either. Even a gesture like when the 2nd seat was added to the Keelback I think would have been great (i.e. fixing the type-7 for medium pads would have been a nice one, tweaks to the missions system for space truckers, anything really).

I am feeling a little taken for granted here Frontier. Not good.
