Apologies to OP.

He loves his double helpings I'm told

What if someone went from 2bn to 12bn in assets from the fertiliser exploit, then FDev took 2x10bn from them?

Would they end up billions in debt, or would there be one of those weird number-wraparound effects and they suddenly gain 64 gazillion or whatever?

that they put the credits away is total ok, doing it twice was a mistage, ill get it back i gues. Aint that hard for me cause wasn´t mutch. But other dudes go straight to 0 or - lol

The problem was that not even this credit removal action could they carry out without bugs.

  • from some ppl only the profit they made during the fertiliser business was removed (this was what fdev intended to do I guess)
  • from other ppl they removed way more than that (because they forgot to take NPC crew members' profit cut into account)
  • and sometimes they removed random amounts of credits from ppl who were never involved in the unintended fertiliser business.

Cry me a river, tbh. Lesson here is: don't abuse exploits in the game. I'd prefer to see zero-balanced and returned to just a default sidewinder, but hey, I prefer actual deterrents, not just slaps on the wrist.

What about all the credits other players couldn't engage this stuff legitimately, because when they arrived to pick up fertilizer, there was no profit margin left on the commodity due to the exploiters?

You apparently didn't read the post you were replying to.

What lesson needs to be taught to ppl who never took part in the fertiliser business in your opinion?

Yeah, I'll admit I missed that bit. Other two points though are irrelevant, as far as I'm concerned.

Although tangentially, it's rare (in my experience) that I've ever heard of anyone who had stuff docked for cheating who didn't actually do it. Many deny it, and they've usually been shown to be lying, for some reason. In this case, I wouldn't be surprised if people would do that just coz trash-talking FD is a soft hit.

So after its considerd to be bad to buy low sell high fdev removed the credits caused to "normal" gameplay posible to a "bug" which mabe could´t seen as an exploit from commanders.
Robigo wasn´t one or kind of the same.
In a real world you would just call the vendor dump and the costumer clever.

I´m ok by removing that fast made credit´s !

But can someone tell my why its removed twice, someone exploiting here ?
Why did someone hit a script twice ? U and mabe tomorrow will you hit it again.

Sorry for Irony and Sarcasem.

And yes i wrote a ticket?

Reading that hurt my brain...........

Well, the issue is that for all we know fdev wanted to remove ill-gained profits from players (well they never did that after countless other credit exploits, and buying and then selling goods for a profit pretty much fits the very definition of "trade", but that's not the point).

The problem is that they (accidentally, as far as I can tell) did not punish ppl for using the exploit. They punished only those exploiters who happened to have an NPC pilot (which is an utterly irrelevant condition), along with some random ppl who sold the fertilisers at different stations or even had nothing to do with them.

But other exploiters weren't punished, let alone sidewindered, their credit balance was only resetted as if the exploit had never happened.

So the only lesson to learn was "you might get randomly punished even if you don't use an exploit, but as long as you don't have an NPC pilot you can do any exploit you wish, you will either be allowed to keep your profits (as in previous credit exploits) or only lose the exploited profit in the worst case scenario (as in the fertiliser business)".

FDEV priorities at the moment:

-Punishment
-Punishment x2 (becuase of the Community Open Letter)
-Bug fix (critical ones only)
-Interstellar Initiative
-Release Universal Limpet Controller (changed my mind becuase of the Community Open Letter)
-Release New SRV's (changed my mind becuase of the Community Open Letter)
-Release new infomation about Fleet Carriers (changed my mind becuase of the Community Open Letter)
