OK, what happened? I have been distracted by trying to figure out how earning ARX works (current theory: completely random), what exploit and what punishment? Why would FDev punish credit exploits now, what is different to the other exploits?

Rockford fertilizers are actually in the game? I thought it was just GalNet fluff. Strange things happening in the ED galaxy.

No one got punished, and what did happen was not as a result of merely reacting to a Galnet story. Credits earned through an obvious exploit were removed. That's not punishment.

There are accusations that the credits were removed twice, or incorrectly, or from players not involved. No one seems interested in gathering any facts though.

I guess what happened was that people earned a billion with the fertilizer exploit, but had three elite crew and got only 700 million cash.
Then FD substracted the value of the exploit money, which meant those people were suddenly down 300 million.
