Your other arguments are bad, "Fewer bugs" and "better game balance" are perfectly clear and reasonable requests.
You could of asked "we want it to work". Were reasonable but impossible to argue against.

Doesnt ccp do star liver ? Id like to direct you to theParadox, a good publisher?
You are joking right?
Yeah, so that's why we're using a politely worded petition. Your other arguments are bad, "Fewer bugs" and "better game balance" are perfectly clear and reasonable requests.
It's not a requirement but I think it would be cool if someone could come up with a list of a all longstanding issues and major bugs.I asked about the petition itself, nothing else.
is anyone here denying it's gone quite badly lately?

I am still waiting for yamik's payment by the way. Without Stigbob and me the petition would certainly have 1000 supporters less.A prominent Elite youtube influenza posted a video and petition.
After page 2 it lost its original purpose and I truly believe that had people stopped talking at Babel and Stiggy that the thread would've finished at around page 10 and would be on the second or third page of the dangerous discussions board.
In what way?
Was it a bad update? Yes probably but the outrage regarding it seems to have abated quicker than other instances where something has happened a lot of people dislike.
The problem is not that nobody would welcome changes but that nobody can agree how these changes should look like.
Just for the record, I am not against improving FDEV's QA process. I would even sign a petition, sadly there is none. The fact that people in this thread (like you) are getting upset that people dare send FDev a petition to get them to improve their QA Process!
Then perhaps this is one place where FDev could improve its communications? Use a few of its "vast workforce" to actually drill down into the issues that exist and determine which ones are of greatest concern, and then develop a clear plan that is communicated to the community about how and when they will be looked at. It does not have to be a promise that things will be done by X day, but rather, a clear indication that its currently being worked on. A kanban board would suffice nicely.
They are all of greatest concern to somebody. They would be better off doing their own thing.
I am just used to it...is anyone here denying it's gone quite badly lately?
All seems like a lot of arguing over nothing.
Vague demands are a great way to be perpetually upset. For me, it's not sufficient clear what is meant by 'Fix the long standing issues'.
After several discussions in this thread it turned out it means:
For me it's problematic that the petition looks like many people would be in agreement, but if you take a closer look lots of people wouldn't survive sitting in the same room for more than 30 minutes.
- make the BGS open only (something lots of people in the community disagree with)
- make PP open only (something lots of people in the community disagree with)
- fix PP (with people having different ideas how it should get fixed)
- remove the FSS and restore the old exploration gameplay (again, lots of people disagree with this)
- add offline mode (ok, I just made that up)
- remove the ability to duplicate materials by mode switching (surprisingly this is something I agree with, considering how many people complained about the mission board fix it's another controversial topic though)
Like "Make the BGS open only!!!"Then perhaps this is one place where FDev could improve its communications? The petition would have more signatures perhaps if it wasnt written/supported by some members of the community who have at times shown barely concealed contempt for those they're claiming to represent.
Major bugs sounds like a character from Starship Troopers and is so imprecise its impossible to satisfy.
