As expected: very little reasoned discussion and/or rationalizations for why some didn't participate, but plenty of smarmy back-biting and memes.

Huh, I've seen plenty of well-reasoned responses in this thread. I guess people will see what they want to see.
Also, the thread title clearly states "For those who didn't sign the petition". Which likely doesn't include you, so...Why are you here other than to stir the pot?
Sure there is the usual smattering of silliness but several of us have outlined our reasoning, why not repond to that?

I did sign it, purely out of frustration regarding the borked September update and the many bugs in the game, to send a message to Fdev that stuff like that needs to change.
I won't ever sign something like that again and I should've given it more thought, my fault.
When I feel disgruntled about something I will post it here and I hate it when someone thinks he/she can act on my behalf without consulting me.

What's your point? New snowflake generation, where I can't call it as I see it? The product that been belaboured with bad testing, and design, bad quality from day 1. Am I supposed to forgive all that because I might offend you?
If you ever actually make it to a company director level, you'll find out very quick that if you deliver garbage on a constant basis you'll be called out. You cannot if any way deny the poor performance of the Frontier. They have time and time again, delivered bad design, testing and quality delivery. That they are a game company bears no truck with me. I'm 35+ years a developer, and I care little about offending you or anyone else when I say, in my opinion, they are the worst game design houses I have ever witnessed. I have never, in all my years seen a combination of incompetence as I see in Frontier.
The graphics and sounds departments are exemplary, the rest are held up by them.
That my opinion, take it, leave it, ignore it, I care not a whit.

Spot on. Some of those involved are outright jerks (at least judging by their behaviour ingame). They don't speak for me, neither do they have my support nor respect.
I think the saying goes: "Never argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." - Mark Twain, most likely.
SPretty certain that at least some of those involved would produce a game that most of those interested in Elite would never have backed to start with nor buy - it would be a very different class of player....and not necessarily for the better imho.
