This is one of the reasons I didn't sign the petition. In addition, I can't get behind a group of players who:
1. Effectively are pushing people away from the game with their playstyle (ganking noobs), which damages the playerbase, and consequently the future of the game. Also, pushing people into solo and private groups (then ganking them there), reducing the fun of open for everyone else.
2. Have been caught cheating (more than once), didn't report the exploits they discovered to FD, then cried like children when they lost their modules and credits
3. Use a brand of language in the game and discord servers that is, let's just say 'distasteful', especially if you're handicapped or disabled in any way
4. Told us themselves not to trust them!
Whilst I agree with many of the complaints these players have, and am in no doubt they understand the game extremely well, I'd prefer it if people who conduct themselves in this way (trolls) were neither representing me, nor the community. Thanks.
you know Im well known around these parts for having a big mouth, say what I feel style attitude. Almost 100% against frontier. But this, what you posted is just so wrong.
I'd like to address your points if I may;
1. While you may not like it, while I may not like and I'm sure the noobs don't like it, it is irrelevant to topic at hand. The real question is fo you agree with the sentiments expressed by the authors. You're is a classic example of playing the person and not the topic.
2. The G1/G5 exploit? Hate to break it to ya mate but frontier were told about that in beta and they ignored it. They were them told again during the first week of release, and it was said to be working as intended. So again, it's irrelevant.
3. Use a brand of language? What!? Seriously? I assume Yamiks? Yamiks uses the language to attract a certain audience. he is successful at it. Seriously even if not him or whatever, using 'brand of language' as a reason for anything in 2019 is just classic snowflake syndrome. Totally irrelevant.
4. Again irrelevant. The question is do you agree with their issues?
So to boil this all down, you don't/won't support their petition because you don't like them, regardless the topics/issues at hand.
I respect your choice of course, but the reasoning leaves me baffled. At I least I was honest. I didn't;t sign their petition because ...
1. Couldn't be bothered getting behind anything to do with Frontier.
2. I don't trust Frontier Developments as far as I can see them.
3. They have a boilerplate response for everything.
4. No matter what they say, I don't believe them. My honest to god analysis of Frontier is they are at best incompetent, at worst wilfully negligible.
As for the petition, Since then, Zac has apparently met them in private and had a discussion. Any other company worth it's salt would have dedicated an open and honest discussion with anyone that wanted to attend and given frank and honest answers.
This skulking around in the dark in secret tells me all I need to know about this company.
