What other games are we all playing?

Destiny lore is surprisingly deep, and the scenery is just bliss IMHO. The opening is confusing now, true. Btw. after RED WAR you can start two more campaigns: Osiris (~2h, trippy) and Warmind (better, can't remember how exactly long it is but shorter than campaign). Other than that, events and side missions are fun and have voice acting.

Yeah I'm loving the graphics, it's got an updated Half life 2 feel to it IMO. Now I've started the red war I'm enjoying the story and cutscenes a lot. F2P so thumbs up from me!

Finally bought Tabeltop Simulator ...

I am amazed how good it is! For initial 20 bucks, you get a **+ load of games... if you are into tabletop games, you'll find mostly anything you wish for here. It also features full multiplayer support.

Anyone have Anno 2205? It's on sale, and I might be interested in it if it's any good.
If you like "balancing strategies" it's great!
My favourite Anno, probably, mainly because it's a bit simpler than the other ones. Simpler meaning streamlined - more strategy, less micromanagement. And battles take place on separate maps and you can do them at your own pace.
In terms of gameplay, it's classical Anno - you have "consumer" buildings and "producer" buildings and you make chains of them, balancing the demand, while building a city around them to have enough people. Higher and higher tiers of inhabitants will have higher and higher demands and new chains of products are made available.
There are three regions, each with their own products and demands, while not every product can be made in every region so you have to establish trade routes between them.
Etc.
It's fun. I play it to relax.
It's also quite beautiful.

I very much enjoy the latest Anno 1800, but as it's more of a return to the roots, it's too complicated to be considered a relaxing game (IMO)
2205, though, is really nice. Highly recommended.

A wild mix of games I occasionally boot up when I have the time.....

  • Clicker Heroes
  • Endless Space
  • Surviving Mars
  • Borderlands 3
  • watching World of Warships streams

These were pretty much the only games I touched in the last 4 weeks or so and my steam library is filled to the gills with games I never even looked at yet.

Been playing Greedfall a lot - although not got any further in it. I was playing a cough evaluation version - but it's good, so when I got paid I bought it. Unfortunately, the evaluation copy had the 'deluxe' DLC (which can't be bought separately) and the version I bought didn't have it. Which meant my save wasn't compatible, so had to start again from scratch. That'll learn me I guess. 🤦‍♀️

Also playing a modded Skyrim SE and managed to solve my insta-death NMS problems too (down to a Jetpack add-on).

On the PS4, PES 2020 is getting a lot of airtime as well.

Game time massively limited at moment.
Bit of strange brigade and the division (1) and centaur pinball

Hoping to get back to ED and NMS in VR soon but life keeps getting in the wsy

My condolences for your loss ;-)
Not much different than being a "Kick Starter" for a game that has great possibilities. ED had thousands of kick starter's as does SC. I wasn't available to be an original kick starter for either but in the past two years have spent well over 150 dollars at the Frontier store buying paints and such. So far, I've only spent 100 dollars on SC; which in both cases could be considered an investment of sorts.

So, do you like Star Citizen now that you have it?

I was looking at the site a few hours ago. Site is still up, forum is still a going concern, LT is mostly -but not completely- dead. Josh is apparently still doing stuff with it in his spare time (he's a dev for somebody else now, it seems.) Long shot, very long, but likely no worse than SC.

Ah, Limit Theory..
Over £170,000 (around $190,000) collected and then he got a headache..

Still.. plenty of money for tablets.

Play Evochron instead, far better and less stress i.e. 'where's my money gone'....

That forum is downright creepy. The Josh petting that went on there, and still continues (astonishingly), made it feel more like a cult than a community. $200,000 in backer funds must have made a nice nest egg for Josh in his new career lolol.

I just had to double check if I am in the correct thread /wink

Doubt the nest egg. Too much of a geek to have an eye on the main chance, and made the mistake of treating the venture as a hobby. Coupled with a low stress threshold, no wonder it went south. Sad. Oh, and too much HFCS and wishful thinking on the forums.

The learning curve involved in utilizing a keyboard and mouse is to much for me. Thus the game is pretty much on hold until I get my new Warthog stick and throttle. Then it's how the heck do I make sense of all the possible configurations. But it is something to do not so much if but when ED is messed up to play.

I'll still be purchasing the new version or update or what ever it's referred to as next year. And I'm certainly looking forward to purchasing a carrier. I've shelved NMS permanently. So, having something else besides ED is working well.
