Says the man who opened this thread by telling us how he switched to solo after 20 minutes of interdictions to finaly get somewhere...

But you entirely missed my point. The point is: What is fact extremly boring, is the 50th interdiction in a row. Its the by far most boring aspect of the game.

IMO ED doesn't desperately require that. People like different kinds of games.

I have watched them allow the Cutters through unharassed, but they'll swarm all over my Hauler when they actually see me.

Playing the BGS gives you that. As a bonus you don't need to strip to the waist and tell people how tough your video game menu choices make you.

If one must choose between the patheticness of boasting of embracing video game adversity or the patheticness of needing said game to shield you from it, I know which one I'd go with...

I had one guy last night, Cmdr Lancer-something or other, anywho.. I was just finished doing a couple of CZ's outside my home system, i had literally no ammo left as i was on my way back home, id synthesized my last on the final two deadly AC's. I arrived in system, turned from the star.. Boom interdicted... Never even had time to check my scope lol, so anyway within a few seconds id submitted, flipped pip's to sys, hit chaff+ecm, boost, boost, uturn,chaff boost and jump.

Now bear in mind, I'm in my almost fully engineered Annie, she can usually take a bit of a beating.. But I'm running without most of my offensive engineered hull upgrades and minus two
shield cells as I was running for speed instead of tanking..

Anyway, the noble Cmdr whom at this point has locked onto me once again, as I only low waked, ( another mistake) , so once again, I submit, but, ready to fight this time I do the same as before, chaff+boost+u-turn +deploy hp's..

(Realizing at this point I've only got my g4, rail gun with long range penetrator slugs they draw directly from the distributor...crap, this is gonna be hard) now, at this point, I'm already down a ring, and taking more damage (I've a grade A, bi weave+hi cap charging, I think lol)

..suddenly boom, all gone. Something's hit me big, I look to my contacts panel hoping to see a weakness, knowing now that I messed up good...seeing my triple elite friends stats, I realise that yes, this is a bad day to be me....

Anyway, I see my new friend has three PA's, guess what they are? 🔨 's Fs....

Now I know I'm screwed.. So, I now suddenly know its a matter of seconds... I adjust my flight plan immediately, select a nearby system.. Check, chaff,chaff boost , fa on, boost, fa off, chaff and crosses fingers and anything else that's available.

Boom all my shields are now gone.. Cor blimey, its getting to that part were I realise I'm not getting home to Ohm city to feed the damn cat..

So, at this point I suddenly realise that I've just completely forgot to use/mention that i had my long term, and trained from mostly harmless to deadly SLF pilot onboard, whom id previously felt sorry for, just before I left for the CZ's as id not used them in a while and thought id stretch their wings a bit..... Great idea fs

Not only had I failed to utilize her but I've also now gotten her killed because of my stupidity....

So I now have two choices..

I chose an honourable death for me and my pilot, so i about turn, boost, deploy hp, chaff+ecm, fa on, lat's an bi's, an adjust, line up for my first plasma slug,

...its a hit, one ring gone, woo hoo..

Now i must deploy 'Adrienne' my fighter pilot,... its done, sweet she's launching...

Now adjust pips, to 3-2--3, try to align myself for another run hopefully,

(Forgot to mention, my new found friend is flying a krait mk II, heavily engineered)

Wait, where has he gone!?... Oh, there he is, he must be lining himself up, ill adjust my pips, and flip fa off again, here he comes..

I look to my left, yes I've targeted his shield gen, look to my right, my pips and fire groups Are ready,

I adjust yaw, apply a little throttle get ready for the attack, check my now dwindling hull, 63% not good..

I've got to be careful.. Its at this point I've noticed that my shield has not even attempted to recharge, ah, I get it..

Damn "incoming missile alert" argh!! Boost, boost, pop Ecm .. No ones got through...

You can guess which type lol Anyway, now my hull is 23% sonnovva...

Anyway I now await my fate, I cant chaff, as I've none left..

No sign of my shields..

My SLF, no idea lol

My thrusters 8%..

OK.. Its Goodbye Dave, ill be seeing you again one day my feline friend..

How will it end.. I'm guessing a Couple of Pa hammer rounds should do it..

..but alas...

The good old 'Picard' attack pattern beta 'Ramming' manoeuvre it is then lol...

This is the moral of the story, don't be daft like me, pick your battles wisely lol, or should i say, make it harder for them to 'Splode ya'!

Also, i forgot to say, the salt was all the more real as id had about 8 Million Cr in combat bonds saved up, lol that was another stupid mistake on my part...

So yeah, remember always be aware of your surrounding's lol, don't forget the really simple, basic things, and most importantly... Do Not Panic! Lol

That was the one that really hurt, the most daft mistake in this long list of hilarious stupidity..

So currently im now mining.. In my Asp x, As my rebuy pretty much left with one more left on my Annie lol,

I'll see you in a few days again Cmdr's, and to the one who popped me..

...You do not know me, but I have a certain amount of skills, skills that I will use...

..I will use to find you, and when I do eventually find you, as I always find who I'm looking for...

...I will come after you, you will not know when, or where..

...But when it comes, you will shiver and cower at my wrath!

Ok this I strongly disagree with. The PvE challenge in this game is weak sauce and borders on broken in some places, the fact that people try, and even succeed, to get some enjoyment out of it should not be taken as an implicit endorsement of the status quo.
