There is an info panel on your right, you can see your ship's stats there. This is mentioned in the tutorials somewhere, I am sure they'd do you good.
I don't min-max I do what works for me, no need to study stats.

Oh gosh, the term megajoule is/was somewhere written in the game I believe (or has been in the past before a certain UI overhaul) but I can't remember when or where exactly this was, unfortunately.I guess what Stigbob means with his question is where do you get the term megajoule from, it's never mentioned in the game itself. Is it the naked shield health value that everyone seems to assume as 'megajoule'?
I have but not as often as other issues. I'm on PS4. I have CZs where the only ships that spawn are spec ops and they'll all spawn around me, NPCs won't spawn in at all, capital ships not taking my damage and blue screen crashes ( this is my most frequent problem in a CZ) seem a lot more common to me.I've never had the number of enemies dry up before winning.
Quit ED. I did and it's been an excellent decision. Recently getting into the Elsweyr expansion for ESO. It's quite stark when you compare a proper game brimming with content, mechanics that work, bugs that get fixed and not a horror grind fest. I have to pinch myself that both games were released in the same year. One is expanding, the other isn't finished.

For those that don't have issues in CZs: In wings or any kind of high DPS ship with 200+ sustained DPS you can easily dry out a CZ. NPCs only spawn in set timeframes so you can easily, especially in a wing with a combined DPS of 800-1000, dry out a CZ in seconds and have to wait for minutes for the next wave to spawn.
The reason for this is that PvE is unchallenging and made for multipurpose ships with mediocre to low DPS. Not drying out a CZ is basically meaning that the effective DPS is just low.
I've no idea about the multi-crew situation but I have had the not-enough-ships things happen to me, it's about 1 in 10 for me.
Another case in which enemies stop spawning is if a wingmate leaves the instance. Not sure if that's enough or if they need to return to the CZ for them to stop spawning.Actually there is an occasional bug where enemy ships stop spawning in half way though. I think it is caused by restarting a CZ shortly after it has previously been won

I sometimes help a friend collect mats from CZs and they don't have the best trigger control. When enemies turn purple, I tell him to pop back into SC and then drop back into the CZ. If it's nearly completed, we're usually good. But if he hits a friendly early, he needs to leave. Once he gets his ship more engineered, I'd agree with StigBob that one can complete at least a Low Intensity CZ while all NPCs are red.
CZs are not in a diabolical place, but those saying there are no issues are obviously not doing very many.
It does frequently happen that if the wing is formed inside the CZ, the ships stop spawning.
It does frequently happen that the CZ is just empty. I believe this is during a 'reset' period after someone else has cleared it.
It does frequently happen that module strength is all messed up. Chieftains seem to have less drive integrity than canopy integrity, yet their Shield generators are sometimes completely indestructible.
It does frequently happen that one of the Spec Ops kills does not register.
It does frequently happen that the progress bar for the zone just disappears, after that it is uncompletable
It does sometimes happen that dropping into the CZ does not change the velocity of objects in your frame of reference (i.e. the CZ marker zooms away from you at orbital speed)
However, the vast majority of CZs work properly 90% of the time.
I do a lot of czs.Hold on... if the vast majority of of CZs work properly 90% of the time, how does that add up with all of the things you list that apparently happen frequently?
What about your wing mates do they have the issues, as the P2P host you may not have any as you are the instance host. your running the connection point to the server... they connect to your game...War won they definatley seem to be working fine for me, I had to pop into supercruise and back to get the ships to spawn for one (it had just been cleared by another pilot) and got a couple of surplus requests to pick a side which I just ignored and won anyway.
I'm just not seeing these CZ issues, aside from my 'dangerous' SLF NPC.

The issues will be wing NETCODE related...

This is excluding the Normal Wing multi player issues... like the ISP packet and data crippled at peak times...
OK the OP does not state were on the planet they are and did not give away any Local terms So might be in AU or japan and that is why they have issues stillNope winged up last night no issues at all aside from competing for kills, one of us had some rubber banding logged out and back in and it was fine.

Don't forget that when in an instance the weakest link is your weakest wingmate's net connection to Amazon AWS serversA friend and I have narrowed it down to using multi-crew.
[Thick Sarcasm]
But it's OK. It's not like we payed for the ability to multi-crew (as in buying another account) or anything, just like FDev wanted us to.
Too bad for us I guess - getting taken in by the con-man that easily. Almost makes me feel like an American.
[/Thick Sarcasm]
Of course, if this is the trustworthiness of FDev, I won't be trusting anything coming from them in future.
