3,000? No, that equates to 0.1%, not 1.0%. One tenth of a percent.
I said it didn't reach 1 percent ... I know it's less, and further reinforces my theory
If your theory is that there's a very small percentage of the player base running multiple accounts, then yes, you proved that very well.

I didn't "distort" your words. I re-read the post after replying, though, and realized I may have misinterpreted it. So let me address what it appears you did say.
You're implying the 3,000 who signed the petition is a small percentage. Technically it is. But now let's look at who was involved...youtube personalities, "influencers," however you call them. And for all the people in the forum who say, "They don't speak for me," there's thousands (literally) who follow those channels because they agree with what they say.
Yamiks has around 64,000 followers, just by himself. And he's a small-ish channel. And for every youtuber that signed that petition, they have the backing of the majority of their followers. This is a number that adds up quickly, and in this age of social media, FDev would be stupid to ignore this.
They shouldn't pay you any attention, if 4 kids tell you what you should do with your game,demonstrates lack of professionalism and complexes...
why should I accept that youtubers and other characters exist but you can't accept that we are a business and can focus some things to make money? the request began for that, a stupid button that many did not accept.In the end that people provided them with another 6 months for nonsense in my opinion. (Apart from eating a shop with potatoes that was not in the plans and nobody asked)

my conclusion is that fdev knows that there are few people playing,mostly people who spend money, the whole thing, their worries, etc.

Your opinion that they're a "scourge" doesn't change the fact that I can pick out three of them that combined have an audience of around 250,000.
Let that sink in a minute.
A quarter MILLION followers. Just three of them. A quite sizable chunk of the player base, and there's far more than three of them. I can pick a fourth and add that number and we're at 300,000.
Whether we like it or not, it's a force to be reckoned with in today's society.

Tell that to Vic Mignogna, whose entire career was destroyed by accusations without evidence and verifiably falsified "proofs" via social media. Social media is a scourge, but the flip side is it can't be ignored either.

In the grand scheme of the industry, Frontier is NOT a big company. Individual games from "big companies" have a bigger advertising budget than Frontier's entire net worth.

He isn't. And that's the problem. Lots of claims and literally photoshopped images that have been debunked many times over. Didn't stop the social media witchhunt from destroying his career.
Sure it is. But Frontier's net value is about 71.42 million USD, total, after debts and such are accounted for. Meanwhile GTA V's advertising budget alone was $265 million USD. One game, advertising budget more than 3x higher than FDev's entire company value.

When the accusers resort to photoshop and misrepresenting of images (such as the one where the person in the picture came forward to say what the accusers were claiming was lies) I don't need to have any emotional investment to say the accusers look shady AF. And that social media is, in fact, an unfortunate force that all companies and public personalities (like FDev) have to be very careful with.
